really looks like a nice track but i don't have that much money to spend on lapping yet.. ill stick to the time attack @ st-eustache for now :P

as for drag racing and transmission, you are right and that is why i plan to go once a year maximum to limit the damages!

I was saying that because I had to change my transmission two months ago. I was lucky because Mazda accepted to change it for free under waranty. I got a brand new
mainly because Mazda Chambly wasn't able to rebuilt it and they totally screwed up my previous one.

I am from the south shore as well, Brossard. So far I have installed a catless exhaust system, plus a few other little mods, sways are on their way, I'll be swapping them in spring along with some new tires and maybe new wheels. So is everyone having fun with their 8's this winter? I had a blast drifting the twisties in sauveur last weekend!

I work in Brossard.

Feels like they dont use any salt there So I slip and slide everywhere.

Thank god for DSC.

Yeah Im having fun. Though my tires are not what they used to, I think this is their last winter... dont have the grip they used to have.

I am from Candiac. I'm struggling to keep my 8 alive this winter. I changed some sparks plugs few weeks ago and still need to replace the coils with a brand new kit from BHR.
I'm dropping the car at the dealer next week for tranny synch issue but I also believe the clutch pedal is to blame for the problem.

Anyone care to go for a ride? I'm really curious to get in stock rx8 to see and feel how it should drive like. Mine was bought with 60K and had plenty of little things to fix

I'm having a lot of fun with my RX8 this winter... but in the garage. I took it apart and cleaned everything :-) I also installed the MazdaSpeed body kit and the Sohn OMP adapter. Now, I'm waiting for Racing Beat to release their silenced midpipe. After that I should be able to ride my car for this spring. That would be great if we would organize a ride for the spring. I will probably attend the NE spring run or will see if the club rx quebec organize one.

Yes a nice run in the spring would be a lot of fun, it would be great to meet other rx owners, since I missed out on the meets you had in summer.

SpIcEz I know what you mean, my tires are serving their last season as well, it gets a little sketchy sometimes; will be going studded next winter!

I like your car, pretty much the same look as mine. Mine is VR with the fender flare. I am planning on changing the tail lights and the rear bumper for the 2009 ones. I have to repaire some minor scratches, but I really like the 2009 rear end, much better than the 2004-2008. How much did you paid for your mags ?

Thanks, it's a good idea to mention it. I've been to some of your meet with my rx8 in 2007. Everyone were very cool, but I couldn't find much information about the rx8 at that time. I will probably come at one of your meets in 2009, the problem for me is that Laval is a bit far for me, from the south shore.

Yea I signed up on the clubrx forum but my account was never activated, I guess it's because of the maintenance that they're doing on the site right now, but I am definitely interested in participating and getting to meet some rotary fans from around here. Do you guys have regular club meets, when is the next meet? I am guessing some time in early spring, since no one drives their 7's in winter...

We have regular meets every friday from spring to fall and we have major events where we drive down somewhere fun, racing weekends and stuff.
Registering to the site should not be a problem anymore.

Isn't a bit pricy ? I got my Mazdaspeed bumper at the dealer for around 1300$ painted. We have a 15% rebate at Mazda Bourrassa.

I mean 1000$ tx, shipping, broker fee, included for the whole kit rear side and front, i think it's not too bad .

The thing is that i don't really like the mazdaspeed front bumber.

Ok 1000$ for the whole kit is a good price. You didn't specify that. I prefred the Mazdaspeed kit because it fit perfectly and the color match is amazing. For the rest its personal taste, I wouldn't like my car as much if all the rx8 looked the same.
I went for the Mazdaspeed kit after seeing Jean-Pierre's rx-8 (one of the clubrxquebec memeber). In my opinion this is the best looking rx-8 i've seen so far.
