ABS Failure

Hi All:

Has anybody else had or heard of the ABS module failing, mine is dead. The part is F1Y3-43-7A0C. Both the ABS and TC lights are on. I can still drive the car old school without ABS. According to the dealer this part is not suppose to fail. My car is an 04 and is out of warranty, the cost of the part is $2300. I have called Mazda Canada but there is no resolution yet.

Has anybody else had or heard of this happening?

Have any of you dealer types out there done this repair before?

Thanks.

wow, at that price, it's at a point that it is not worth it to fix.
