The one they used to get me (and heaps of others) was "insufficient use of the rear view mirror".
Now I can look in the mirror with a quick flick of the eyes, but that's hard to see and hard to prove or disprove.
So the guys who had lessons with an instructor were given the tip to set their mirrors a bit off centre. This would prompt them to move their head a bit when looking, and to do it often.
Got the tip from someone, used it and passed.
