Warranty Claims

Ok so had the car for nearly 12 months.

So far it's be back for the common heat shielding recall and now it seems that there are a few niggling things that need fixing.

1. There is a rattle in the airbag that drives me nuts, took it back = new airbag on order and will be replaced under warranty

2. Side part of the drivers seat fell apart. Plastic shroud came apart and the little seat controls fell off. Took it back and replaced under warranty

I hope these are the only niggling in cabin issues Max will have.....

I did complain about the tyres and got the "yes they have a blocky pattern which makes them loud" After having yokies on the car for 2 months and not hearing a peep, just some speedo and steering issues.....think I will change them over for something else soon....

Do not wear your diamond ring upside down Julia.

My stock **** got scratched by wedding rings during its life as a demo. Solution - don't wear one!

I much prefer my titanium **** anyways. Not expensive and easy to fit Julia - check them out from the online parts places.

Julia, I am suprised they replaced the airbag. From memory they just have to replace 2 little pads in the assembly. Lemme go dig it up...

If you have a sun roof there is a rattle problem with them which requires the rails being replaced, which involves them taking the roof lining off. Just had mine done early december.

EDIT: You reuse the existing airbag http://www.finishlineperformance.com...04-04-1381.pdf. Unless of course the existing one is damaged ???

I'm not going to use it again, so I'm happy to just leave it in the drawer in the garage with my other smaller castoffs and spares.

Thanks for that.....they told me the rattle was inside the airbag itself....??? So they tell me that they have ordered in a whole new unit.......will give them your information as well.....

Don't have a sunroof...so no rattles there!

Yes it will void the warranty...on the part that you have replaced. On other parts the dealer has to show that the new part was a contributing factor to the warranty claim if they wish to decline it.

Cheers

LOL when I mention getting a catback exhaust replacement my dealer rolled his eyes.....he didn't have a comeback for the fact I had changed the wheels though! They are so quick to use the warranty scare fallback! If I could justify it I would get another exhaust...but for the$$ I will stick to what I have now unless I can find one s/h!
