Arrow TurboXS exhaust!

Hey guys!

I just picked up myself a TurboXS exhaust from the cheapest store in the world (eBay of course)! AU$435.10 shipped to my address.

I've been reading around on the forum about all the different types of exhausts available and Australia seems to have been shafted big time in relation to the choices...:S

Theres heaps to choose from and are all reasonably priced but its the postage and shipping that cost a lot! If I got all the money I have ever spent on postage and handling, I would be a very rich man!

Anyway, back to the exhaust...

From what I've read, the TurboXS is a little on the loud side and has a bit of a fitment problem with the US cars and sit too far back in the shrouds (I think due to the left hand steering or something) and several people have mentioned melting shrouds.

Another complaint is that the tips are too small, but ill install them and see if they look stupid enough to replace. It has 3" tubing all around and is best used for turbo applications. It also comes with the racing pipe!. I'm setting my car up with all the necessary mods for FI (which will be on by the end of the year I hope!). The sound is pure sex with the turbo...just judge for yourself

Updates and piccies to follow when it arrives!

Thanks,
DrewMan

looks good. size of the tips are least of your concern.....

do you know the max dB level? from memory (jn NSW anway), EPA measures the dB level at 4000rpm and 1.5 meters away from the exhaust tip on a 45 degree angle.

looking forward to your review.

It seems like people always pick windy days to try and record sound outside.

Drew, you have a thing for ebay I notice lol as for the noise.... when you see the po'po' take your foot off the accelerator and cruiseeeeeeeeeeeeee
btw did u sell those horrid rims yet

Apparently its only a problem with the US cars because they have a left hand drive or something? Fitment is better with a RHS drive.

LOL no theyre still sitting in the garage. Ive posted them on the holden forums. no replies but plenty of views.

hmmmmmm

eBay is the bomb! you can get just about anything there cheaper than retail!!!
Why go shopping anywhere else??? Besides, my mum instilled into my brain 15 layers deep to go hunting for a bargain!

If worse comes to worse, I'll go to midas or something and just ask them to solder on an extension and change the tips while im at it. I do like the AP tips!

where can I find tips like these?

The Ti tip does nothing but looks.

If they are only at the tip and the rest is steel alloy, then it is ok for durability.

Only when you have a full Ti exhaust, then the drum is too close to ground for my comfort.

Well, the level of the engine coolant is within the F-L scale on the reservoir. The light only comes up after 2-3 hot laps, than when i take it a bit easier it disappears in about 15 secs. damn, seems like im gonna have to do some search, again

Don't worry about the width

Not sure whether size matters ........... but length certainly does!
