Its like a go-kart for adults!
If only all go karts were like this and they had 12 or so of them and we could race them around the track!
Now THAT would by fun!

There are sessions at Eastern Creek for that right?
As of long time ago, it has not done the ADR. So it is not road legal yet.....
Anything changed Revolver (coz he was interested in it).

I got on the mailing list of the distributor out of curiosity (and a mild deathwish).
You can order one right now if you want ($100Kish plus whatever extras you want) for use as a track weapon (these things ain't no toy) but they're still going through the hoops to get them road legal.
Unlikely to happen this year from what I could tell.
There's probably cheaper second hand open wheelers you could buy that would be just as quick, so it's a limited local market atm.

from memory, someone in North Sydney have imported a few for some sort of specialised track events... and i think they are the same mop trying to get the ADR approved.
for some reasons i dont think it'd ever get ADR approved for australian public road use.

AFAIK, the distributor is not the people who run them at Eastern Creek but I could be wrong about that.
As far as ADR stuff goes, my last mailout, some months ago now, told me they were still trying to get them approved for road use. Maybe they've given up for some reason?

It is very nice, but there are either alternative. Like a Honda DC5 sport car from Macau GP. They will not be road legal and oh god they are loud, and fast. The second hand ones goes cheaper than a new Integra here, but you need to have a higher CAMS licence to import it (that is the catch )

Otherwise I agree there's plenty of alternatives for an out and out track only car.
I'm only interested in something road legal. I cbf trailering a car around and having to store the trailer and the car, etc. As we all know, one of the great things about the RX8 is that you can drive it to the track, have mucho fun with it and then drive it home again.

I saw that... did you see the yellow one they are building up?
Ash was showing me the other day. 180kW in a 900kg car. ADR approved.
But I don't think it is 45K when it rolls out of the MMSports show room. It is more like the Lotus Elise (not Exege) price
