i'm not disbelieving you Maestro as i remember some info you gave in the past. but those pictures have been on this site before about 12 months ago. i may even have them stored on my pc. i thought that was just a normal 8 that was there for the car shows around the time of launch in AUS. i remember it was one of the first pics showing the size difference between a 3rd gen and the 8. the 3rd gen might have been a forum member's car.

 

The plot thickens......the mods I did see on those pics included what appears to be a Mazdaspeed decal and lowering springs.....though surprisingly the side and windscreen decals are missing from the fuzzy out of focus first pic .

 

after another look i clearly remember the first pic now as it was posted by someone who worked at a dealership and everyone was comenting on how dark the tint was. another observation is the windshield of the first pic does not seem to have the same decal across the top as the other pics show. also where are the corner marker lamps?

even furthur gomez. i went in search of the original posting of those pics and right now have been unable to find them. however the search did prompt my memory about some drive days there. i think i remember the last 2 pics were posted around that time. surely hymee or lock and load remember these as well.

Yes I do work for a dealership blah blah ! I'm not saying i'm the know all of the RX-8 but if this SC RX-8 was real I would have access to all the media info.

Also it would be down here for testing.

Which means....... Its crap or Mazda hasn't released info on it.

P.S. The 3rd Gen is mine.

 

well at least i know now that part of my memory is intact!! i knew i remembered that you worked at mazda and that those pics were posted before i just couldn't put the two together in the search engine to find the earlier posts. thanks for clearing that up!! it was way back in march of 2003!

There's no mention of the NC MX-5 there either, doesn't mean it isn't coming. Though, if you believe the guys here you'd say that they can't release another MX-5 because we've already had the MX-6.

Working in the industry (that is the manufacturing side of it) and having my wife work for a dealership for the same brand I can give a little insight into what information is passed between the two!! And it is bugger all! And to say that if a 'mule' existed "it would be down here" is completely inaccurate as most "mules" dont even leave company properties and there is no way that they would announce that they had a SC mule driving on a internal website that dealerships have access to until they had pre-production units ready to go and they were ready to announce it to the public.

Mazda Media

All I am saying that if Mazda is releasing something its on the media site. I'm just telling it like it is.

 

Mazda's mules come to NZ for winter testing.

We've had 4WD mazda6 w/ 5-Speed Auto, Mazda6 MPS Wagon, RX-8 (13B-REW) Version.

I have seen and driven the RX-8 above also a pre-production version and the Mazda6 4WD but only seen pictures of the MPS.

And I was not saying that a SC 8 was down here. I was saying I have heard nothing of the sort and there is nothing on the Mazda media site which means its a load of crap........ Simple.

If there was a SC RX-8 being released next year it would be on the media site.
