SEQ Cruise?

Anyone in South East Queensland interested in another cruise (maybe after Christmas)? I know this time of the year is rotten, but I've got some time off work after Christmas and it might be nice to go for a drive.

Anyone interested?

Cheers

Now that I have, I'd love to come for a cruise - time, family etc permitting.

Any preferred dates? I'm thinking between Dec 28 and Jan 3 (inclusive of those dates).

Thumbs up

Those dates sound good to me as well. Thanks for bringing this up sco. My car now sits in the garage without much use as I now work from home. So this is a good excuse to bring it out. :D

Things have been busy as well as I am in the process of setting up a new business.

skc, if you'd like me to take it out and exercise it... you only have to ask

Sounds like we have enough interest. Maybe if 'envy chimes in we could do a run up his way?

What is the latest on the SEQ drive day. I am keen to go on a long drive to "exersice" my RX8.

How about Dec 29th? 10:30 at the usual meeting spot. Haven't picked a route yet, so PM me any suggestions.

I'm looking after my kids (4 & 9) solo (whilst wife works) that day so can I bring them along? I'm keen to attend and give my RX-8 a nice run - hopefully with nice economy not the nose-to-tail traffic it normally sits in.

Having never participated before I don't know the conventions/rules for a cruise, nor do I have a clue where the "usual meeting spot" is.

It would be nice to meet up with my fellow RX-8'ers - previously only meeting Hymee in the flesh to get my grill, and admiring skc's rear (car obviously ) on a couple of ocassions when we shared the same road.

Cheers

Kids are more than welcome... skc normally brings his along... The aim of the cruise is to have fun responsibly and to meet and greet fellow enthusiasts... so we usually go for lots of twisty stuff where one can have lots of fun within limits. Usual spot is Harry's diner at Newmarket (on Newmarket Rd). I'll PM the proposed routes once we have some suggestions.

I'll bring the latest version of sCANalyser if anyone's interested.

Cheers

OK, we've had a few votes for the 30th. Sounds good to me. Same time, same meeting place.

I've had no suggestions on route. This is still open to input from you all. PM me if you have any thoughts on this.

Since Thursday (30th) is offically a business day (even though most ppl are on leave), do you think Harries is a good idea?

Cheers,
Hymee.

Just make sure the quote finishes with a [/QUOTE] tag.

I'm just waiting to see if Santa got me some manifold adaptors and mounting brackets But don't pretend I am shy when it comes to posting info on that project :p

Cheers,
Hymee.

Back on topic...

The next few days would be a great chance to get a 40Ch UHF radio if you don't already have one. Plenty of sales on. :D

These are a "must have" for serious cruising.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Maybe not.... we can pick a service station somewhere appropriate to the route we're taking... still have no suggestions on a route.
