This was covered in today's Australian as well. A sort of, maybe commitment from the CEO of Mazda to an RX-7.... with a lot of reasons also why it may get scotched!

Come on Taka, be optimistic... you want to be able to at least dream about owning the new RX7 in 5 years time (when it comes time to replace the 8).
By then, your child would have grown up so you can get a family car for the wife and indulge in a 2 seater for yourself! LOL

It only seems like yesterday when I was hooning around in a "riced-out-to-the-max" EK Civic and now 3 cars later, "wankel power".

We will find out for sure on the 25th of this month at Paris. My guess will be if the CEO is saying it now to a Journo then they could release concept drawings etc at Paris.

They are releasing the Mazda5 which came from nowhere to being released at Paris ????

So it could be true. Its the most releable thing I have heard and i'm like Taka I don't beleive anything. But one thing for sure. Its not on Mazda Media at all.

Saying that I can confirm there will be some surprises at Paris :D

 

My bet: there will be no release on this. My guess is the CEO was responding to journalists' questions about RX-7 rumours, and trying to keep Mazda 'sexy'. He also says they have a very tough business case to prove before anything is formally announced.
