For anyone that's interested, the Northland Car Club is putting on the annual Ruakaka Street Sprint on Sunday 6th April 2014.
This is a great event and is all tarseal, so should be good for everyone.
There is usually a few Rotaries competing, but I have only seen one RX8 compete in this event.

I've had a go at this event 2 or 3 times when I had my RX2, but have yet to have a go with the RX8.
Stephen and his friends from Kerikeri and I went along and watched last year. It was a good day out and some good action to watch.
Maybe we could get a few RX8s to enter? You would end up using maybe a 1/3 tank of fuel.

I'm racing (cycling not cars) in the middle of the north island at that time this year so I won't make it but I highly recommend it if you can make it.

Sounds like fun. Unfortunately I have been unable to drive since I broke my arm before Christmas, and probably still won't be able to for this

Well I decided to have another go and put my entry in today.
What will be fun is that I'm shifting house the day before this event, so won't have much time to sort things out on the car.
