25% more would make it 221fwkW correct?

Or 180HP at wheels becomes 225HP at wheels.

Or 45HP more at wheels.

Sounds significant. I would like to see the dyno chart to see where the gains start happening. It would tell a good story.

Cheers,
Hymee.

GT 28 XTR Turbo???? the only thing that closest to them I think is the twin turbo from the series 6 RX-7???

Why don't they just use the Trust or Greddy Turbo that does well to the AT cars in Japan.

Too hot (as in engine temperature) to my liking. If you have the front mount intercooler -- where did you go for the radiator??? oil cooler?? Is there enough space for all 3?

Its coming soon. the piggyback ECU (plug & play) will be fine tuned real soon.

Rotor Master wants to make this a very useable kit that doesn't require the engines removal & decompression of the 10:1 rotors. I think he has mentioned 0.5Bar as the max, hence the small turbo to gain throttle response & low end spooling.

The car will be getting a feature story in Zoom (or similar) magazine soon.

Yeah it was a nice kit and seemed to fit well behind all the factory plastic. Very stealthy.

Wonder how the dealer warranty will go with it :D

OMG

What a fantastic car.

Just went for a drive in the turbo RX-8 tonight. What an amazing difference. The car now has the power all previous rotary owners are accustomed to. Turbo rotary power kicks ****.

Now the feeling of this new engine was fantastic. (I am stating this from the perspective of the standard RX-8.) The additional torque is magic. It comes on after 2500rpm thanks to the correct selection of turbo. Boosts hard from 3000rpm & goes till about 8000rpm where the turbo runs out of puff. Its the perfect street driver application. Excellent in 4th. Pulls hard & puts a smile on your face.

Only running 0.5 Bar boost. This is how Mazda shold be selling them, Am just so impressed.............:D

turbo rx8

look guys the turbo kit Joe is working on is cominging along well but you all need to let us experts do our job and work it all out, it is'nt easy as some of you think. we tested my piggy back ecu on it today which allowed david morris to go for another joy ride at someone elses expense.it all looks good.well done to Joe for the time and effort put in to this project,i know what it takes as when i did the same with my ecu. now at last we can look to using the piggy back as it was intended as part of this kit.
