rotary crescent

Does anybody know how much a dealer charges to fit the rotary crescent front and rear. Are there cheaper aftermarket ones and whether they can be fitted yourself. I know that the dealers charge about $130 each without fitting.

If you mean the rotary accents that go on the front at the air dam and in the back on the "diffuser", D Menac 7 is working on some knock-offs made of the same material as the side strakes. The fitting is with 3M tape. I wouldn't pay to have them installed if I were you.

If you mean something else, I have no idea.

shop around... it should be $90 only. It is directly from the book for me. They would have overcharged you for $130 - that will be a rip off

Install. Peal the 2 double tap and put it in the place, click in the 2 stoppers behind the arch and that is it!

They just stick on, the front one may have a fastening screw.

Rosenthal and Trussville both sell the front and rear accents for $55 and $66 respectively. They are VERY easy to install. I think the Mazda accessory rebate is still on too.

zoom black 8 these are US dealers charging US dollars..

What are they commenting on the Australian prices anyway... I doubt ordering from US is cheap considering the shipping fee (will be over $10 US for a crest)

As has been mentioned earlier in this Forum, Darren at the Gosford Mazda dealer, a true rotor aficianado, has been known to do his best on accessory prices. Darren's number in Gosford..... 02 4323 9444

I just ordered some of the knock off's from the states, RX8FUN in the vendor forum. US$29 each plus $16 shipping, alot cheaper than i could find them elsewhere.

I tried Japanparts.com , they quoted pretty fast for genuine, cheaper than local but not much.

Lotsa luck
