Question Recommended dealer in Sydney?

Guys,

I'm currently looking for a good Mazda dealer in Sydney for buying a brand new RX-8. Do you have any recommendation for it? Does Hornsby Mazda is good? Please give me some advise about it.

Regards,

Original

Rockdale Mazda was good for me see Louise Marshall or Ben.

Rockdale has an excellent service department with the best customer service i have ever experienced.

West end Mazda - Blacktown branch. Do not go to the Parramatta branch, they are *******.

They are doing discounts on the RX-8 where most others are not. (at this stage)

If you find another guy that wants to buy an Rx-8 (all out of mates here) then they do even better deals for bulk buys.

So far, the deals we have gotten are
$63k, on road = lux pack
$58k, on road = base model

This was with multiple orders at a time.

I got mine from Hornsby Mazda.
they were good compared to other dealers like John Newell (****... refused me a test drive even after booking week in advance coz I wasn't gonna take it on that day??) and also Eurocars (price uncompetitive, poor customer service etc..)
was also looking at Tom Kerr coz I live nearby. Tom Kerr had good customer service with all their reps and managers but price was rather uncompetitive.
Hornsby also will include 3 more years of warranty (6 in all incl Mazda's) if I have my car service from them.
I wanted to service my car from the same dealer I bought so that was a good thing. but I didn't find their service department all that helpful and explain what has been done or is wrong or any general updates about the car.
pm if u wanna find more info =) oh, my salesman was a guy called Christian.

yeah,
don't go to the parramatta branch of westend mazda,
however the blacktown one is the same company...westend blacktown so go figure. Interestingly though, if say you go to tom kerr in ryde and get a deal, artarmon suggested they would try to beat them as they are direct competitors for sales. So try to play off dealers that have similar sales volumes. Definitely don't get any paint protection it is not from the factory!

good luck

Rockdale mazda is great. i have known the guys there for years
(even back in the old Audi days...).

Speak to Colin Tse and let him know EZZY (Eric) referred you. The sales manager Roland is great too.

I wasnt happy with AMR Mazda on parra road (very slow...) and Westend Mazda Blacktown (especially the trade-in guy was a **** & a half !). Liverpool McGrath's was okay and very helpful.

Greetings All,

This touches on a subject that I was going to post - dealers to avoid at all costs - and my suggested one to avoid is Newcastle Mazda - the Cardiff dealership. Utterly hopeless in every possible way and rude as well. We are so disgusted with them it is hard to describe !

McGrath Mazda, Sutherland, on the other hand were extremely good to deal with and treat customers buying expensive cars with respect - and they also give another 3 year warranty when you sign up to get the car serviced with them.

Ask for Alison - they usually have a couple in stock and recently had a Winning Blue manual out the front.

Regards
Jeffneil

It all depends on who you get. I went to Rockdale Mazda and didn't find them all that special. On the other hand John Newell seemed to have a better product knowledge. My experience with them has been great.
