Aussie spec rx8 - sat nav?

Aussie spec rx8 - sat nav?

ive been having a read on the other forums and it seems as a lot of the U.S rx8's have sat nav, does the aussie one have it?
i couldnt seem to find anything on the mazda australia site, personally i'd like to have gps as well as in dash dvd/mp3/vcd etc..

nop. they are not offered at all along with sunroof in Oz market.

If you talk to the dealer they can set a sat nav option exactly what they do with the Mazda 6. its not a Mazda product though and you are looking at something that does not retract into the console but would be visable and thievable

And since your in Sydney the last thing you want is to come back to your car with a broken glass and missing lcd screen with cables pulled out from everywhere.

I have been looking at this option for a while actually and like the idea of one of those mini PCs to go in the car too. I can design the software to run everything else. But i dont have the time im booked out for the next 6 months in design jobs to have a play at the mini PC idea.

I have been using an Apple iPod with iTrip which is an MP3 player which sends out an FM signal to which you tune your radio. 10,000 songs! and the quality is quite good with the standard RX 8 radio. You can get a iPod car charger and it all fits really well in the second compartment over the transmission tunnel.
