And the wheels are SSR Competitions (Type C) in anthracite.

Mike, these were the wheels that started me on my little quest, which, having scaled dizzying purchase price heights, has dropped back to a more manageable "Gee, the stock wheels are pretty nice" level. :D

Well its a little bit late, but better late than never. The cruise to Kiama didn't start to well, on an overcast day clouds everywhere and the likely hood of rain was apparent. This was probably y a few people did not attend, but for those that did it enjoyed an awsum day. I washed my car in the morning as per usual and 50metres b4 the meet up servo a bird decided to go to the toilet on my car . And then once i got to the servo 4got my wallet at home (due to not much sleep............looooooooooong nite), And it also started to sprinkle a bit. I had just enough time to go home get the wallet and get the bird poo off my car :D . Also add to this my tempramental camera that wouldn't stay on, which I didn't end up bringin in the end .

I got back to the servo n met up with the lads well b4 the departure time, so that was a plus. We ended up having 5 RX8's(2 V-R's/1T-G/BLK) leaving from the servo, and then Muddie(2day old V-R) joined the convoy at Bulli. And meanwhile Alex(BLK) was making his way thru traffic to catch up to us, but he ended up meeting us @Kiama so a total of 7 RX8's.

It was an awsum drive down and pity about the rain driving down, but it was pretty good coz it didn't rain anymore on the day. Once again it was great to meet the new faces and have a chit chat about the cars over some food. It was also great to see that Daihatsu Copen(turbo... wow=not) , which kept us amused as to how a P-plater cannot drive one of them but can drive an RX8 under new legislation . We decided to head to the lighthouse in Wollongong b4 we all went home. That was awsum too, coz Muddie suggested we go the back way thru to the gong and geez was that a twisty cornery drive that was very cooool : ) .

Upon arrival at the gong, we were met with comments like" woooooah look at them" + "they out did us-more cars than us" + "if so n so was here he'd have an orgasm". So we did put on the show for the gong also, by taking up half the parking lot. We had admirers both at the Kiama and the gong, with different people taking photo's. And some idiot offering to video tape us all going sideways up the street(in the gong), and offering to replace our tyres by stealing sum1's else's need i say more . As we were leaving the gong there was another RX8 parked at the front, 1 of the ltd editions(radiant ebony), but i don't think he saw us until we were goin so I don't know who that was?? .

On the drive back we sort of separated a bit but for 1/4 of the trip home there were 4 rx8 cruising home. Until a more spirited(is probably not the word) drive home began, but we lost 1 of the 8's but 3 of us stayed closely together pretty much all the way. And it didn't take too long to get home and was rather interesting to say the least .

Anyway thank-u to all the members that came along EZZY/DOONSON/MUDDIE/OTTOG/VITOCOLONENE/LITTLEJOHN . It turned out being a great day meeting people and an awsum drive (an understatement) . So I guess I'll see most of u at the Nat's, if not on the next cruise coming up in mid november .

Signing out,
Waldo/ZOOMBY/ZZOOM
