I was surprised that was the case when you told me on the phone. But yet again, it is not the first time I hear "A" machanic that does that. Thinks just get out of hand, and even my mechanic does that to my friend when he was not pushed (with a whip in your right hand).

Good luck to the turbo kit... keep us informed.

The Greddy kit was not what going to give me the power I wanted ...I thought it would initially suffice but Stupidly thought I could do better; Plus I dont work and wanted a challenge...

This challenge proves to be testing but on the other hand sooooo rewarding ...much more than bolting on a kit

I am really enjoying the metamorphisis :D

I have biult many engines and love engineering ..so marrying the two would get all my creative juices flowing

Why not order them through mazda? Or are they different to the stock plugs which are crap?
How much are you looking at for a set of sparks?

In MazdaManiac experience on the tubro. A colder set of plug is advised.

Certainly, the way I read it in the Jap Magazines (RX-7 Magazine), most RX-7 are using NGK 10 or 9 for their plugs and they said it will helps with misfiring on high revs.

Yes, I don't last as long as hotter plugs and the mag said most RX-7 HAS TO change their plugs every 8000km

I am trying a set of NGK 10 and NGK 9 on my car. I think it will not last more than 30000km but I will change it after 15000km. It has only 5000km so far and mostly on highway. Yes it helps with the roughless of the rev at 8000rpm @ 4th gear

We are using for the prototype a custom unit comprising of a t3/t4 SETUP .Utilising revoloutionary exremely efficient ceramic bearings

The guy is responsible for building the turbos for the fastest rotaries in the world...He really knows his stuff

We are mounting it direclty to the exhaust ports to eliminate lag ..the manifold and turbo is the same weight as the OEM manifold alone !!( light stuff )

I will post pics ..Manifold done.... turbo neeeeeeeeeeeearly

Intercooler should be finished off tommorow

I have received a some interest about the possibility of purchasing one of my kits ..

As I am not working currently Im sure I can put a package together for forum members We'll see

Can't wait to see...and you know this place -- build a kit that offers 200+RWKw for $5k, and you'll be beating 'em off

Hmm...ceramic bearings....so no oiling issues??...interesting

I am confident of achieving 300+ RWHP ..but I dont shoot my mouth off without facts ...This turbo can flow 450 hp so we're not restricted in that department..

Its ceramic composite bearings will spool up 20% quicker than Garett ball bearings..I have a test where a WRX using ball bearings has a dyno test ..and when the Exact turbo is replaced with these new ceramic types..the car made the same power 1000RPM lower ...Ill have to dig this test up and post it

As for pricing .......I could have stage 1 as an affordable option then Stage 2..3.....Lets wait and see

B.....Happy

Dave

Do they just do bolt on, or do they crack your engine open and do overhaul there!?

I know of the Revolution company in Japan offers overhaul of engine with modification of the apex seal, side seal, and corner seal groove - I think it is on the rotor?! Modified the rotor ring, polish port and engine balancing.

They have stage II overhaul for turbo RENESIS where they enlarge port, and change to FD3S apex seals.

Their site is closed but it is a 2nd liner of rotary mod company in Japan - but they are still good.

Any of those work can be done in Australia - I think something to keep in mind down the road.

They said with this overhaul - engine will feel like 'brand new'

the FD guys have been using ceramic seals for their rebuilds.
