Hehehe, all we need is a Qlder to hit the "WTF" button and it'll be Nats 2008 part 2...

Hope you feel better soon Taka. I had mine yanked out as a kid...don't know why they don't still do that...

But Mrs Flynn will be the likely main driver in the Echo. It will be fun.

What numbers do we now have, taka?

Might be worth publishing the list, so we can encourage latecomers

And I'm hoping I don't get lapped by the Echo too many times!!!

I hope I did not miss anyone. This is from the top of my 36.7 degree head. I will confirm with the event coordinator and the bank balance.

As you can see. All friends and lovely people

Do not forget Stu is coming to be at the flag area.

Guys, Taka will (hopefully) be updating the entry form on the first post with one that includes a correct indemnity section. When he updates it can you all ensure you bring the new one (as indicated by it refering to Winton not Broadford in the first para) with you on the day. Much appreciated

Cheers

Yes sir I will be there to run the pits for you guys.

Do one of you have a stop watch to bring along? Certainly helps for timing the sessions!

Andrew/Taka,

If people forget, just strike out Broadford, hand-write Winton over it and get them to initial it - exactly the same legal effect...

See you Friday night?

Just count how many times I've been lapped by the furiously driven Echo - once you hit 3, flag us in...

Please advise whether numbers will be supplied and, if not, what our number is, so we can get our own before we drive down.

I suggest re: allocation purposes that you simply follow the numbering in your list in the first post, which would make me 7, or 007 if you like...shaken and stirred!

Hehehe, now you'll tell me you want to take this to PM...oh no, too late - you'll hit 1K just doing that...face it, we can't shut you up!

No, no plan yet but I'm open to suggestions. I need to find out from young McIntosh when he wishes to depart, as he will be co-driving the Revolvermobile.

Rather than try to stick together through the city, suggest we arrange to meet at the usual rest area south of Sydney...

Ah yah, no fancy stuff required. I was going to print it in A4 papers and stick it on the left rear window for Adam to push a button when you cross the line (he said it is very accrate).

If you really want a number - you are number 7.

I am going to get a number down the track, but I need to worry up my friend to send his duplicate number of his Mazda party race.

Like this but not the same number

Hi Taka
I have some numbers left over from various Nats. All are white, about 17cm high for the lh rear door window.
I have:
three number 2
one number 3
two number 4
three number 6 [or 9...]
three number 7
three number 8
Plus a roll of white insulation tape that can be cut up to make 1's or 7's etc.
Should be enough for all cars entered.
Will keep cost down a little bit.
Let me know if you want me to bring them.
See you on Saturday.
Cheers
Len

I'll try to meet you guys at the Yass Maccas truck stop. If you can give me an idea of the time, I'll be there or better still, ring me as you pass the Sutton Forest Maccas -- it's probably 2 hrs from there (which gives me an hour to fart about and an hour to drive to Yass)

Looks like I'm a 1, so I'd be grateful for the white tape, Len -- I only have black or grey

Actually, is there timing? wasn't sure there was

Well the 1000 post had to come eventually, seems fitting that it's used to sort out something important!

Len, can you bung me down for "42", some of you (like Timbo I'm guessing) will know that that's the answer to "Life, The Universe and Everything".

Happy to meet up at the "n usual" spot. I'd like to get away before we hit the bloody peak hour bollocks, so will try and depart Turra about 6.30/45.

Unless we are heading out after peak??

Len,

Thanks for the offer. Could you please bring them down?

I was just going to print a set of numbers in A4 papers, use sticky tape to secure it. You just offer a more expensive option haha.

Ok, have discussed departure times with Len.

I will aim to collect him and get to the usual rest area meet up point by around 7.30am, which should dovetail when you get there Mike. We'll stay in touch via mobile anyways and work it out. You do know the rest area, yeah? - one of the 'VC' rest areas - from memory about 40kms south of the M5 tollgates - has been covered ad nauseum in previous Nats/cruise directions. Indeed, I think GPS coordinates exist somewhere...

Timbo, that should get us to Yass somewhere between 10 and 11 I suspect but we'll call you en route as suggested.

If it all gets too hard to link up, we'll just do our own thing and see you both down there...

Haven't heard from Rod but he usually likes to drive solo...
