I think it comes down to the driver and his exit speed out of the corners. Taka was probably getting heaps more speed out of the corner compared to the Civic. I was surprise how much I pull away from him within a few corners. I mean, this was a wet track afterall and there really shouldn't be that much difference between the cars regardless of how much power you have (as you can't use anywhere near your maximum power).
