omg wat a waste of time...waiting for service...

I found out vibrating pretty badly when ide-low rev like 2000

I took to mazda service..and they noticed the problem but couldn't fix it. ( didn't know what was causing it!!? )

so they called up local technician ( i guess ) to look at it.

i waited like 3 weeks to get it in sydney...

and i was tooked in for 9am this morning..to see him

but f!@k, i slept in..

woke up at 9:30.... and ring them up..

they said...he ( local tech ) left about 15 min ago...

and............................................... ................................ next booking is 17th of apr..

this is totally.........................f..........d

why does it take so long..........................

it was my fault...nothing to cry about.....

what problems can i develop in next 1 month??

if i keep on driving??

sometimes long driving...like 3-5hrs... and little short driving like 30-1hr...?

i've seen few threads about cracked engine mounts...

well...i've checked engine mount.. and mazda say it's brand new...hmmm???

what else could it possibly be??

thanks.

If it is just rough idling without much power loss... it is ok to drive.

Do not rev it too hard in the mean time. Do the routine as usual.

You may want to reset the ECU... put the key in ignition and press brake pedal for 20 times very quickly or until the oil pressure needle sweep to the right

Good luck

Thx!!

It's rough idle-about 1500 rpm range without much power loss.

i feel little..but not much power loss.

If i reset ECU, what will it do?? pressing brake pedal for 20 times v.quickly is way to reset??

i didn't read manual..hmmm thanks for the advice! shame that i slept in...

It just clear out all the stored data. It is believe that the ECU will act as first got the car and change the characteristics accordingly.

Is your car stock?

What mods have you done to your engine, intake and exhaust?.

What? You haven't been following the katana saga?

Mate, have I got some insomnia cures for you. Do a search when you need a nap.

I'm still unsure what parts he's put into his car. There were too many parts and I gave up trying to keep up.

Maybe he could enlighten us what mods he's finally put in.

As for searching... I am getting my lazy eye sorted out. However, it seems to be contagious as it's taking control of the rest of me.

Nice parts list to add in your RX8. Those parts you've listed (except exhaust... I have it already) are also in my wishlist. Ohhh... I would also include a brake upgrade in my wishlist too.

I'm sure your idling will be sorted out. Just remember to set your alarm clock to wake you up to get ready for your next appointment with the super tech. Maybe you're lazy too... and if so, welcome to the club!.

haha! thx!! i will make sure to wake up on time! ( i had 4 alarms setted this morning for service.. but i don't know what happen...haha..i turned them all off while i was sleeping. )

I'm just trying to limit the rev to 5000rpm and avg 3~4 to not to make it any worth.

Brake...clutch... are out of my budget..! i'm gonna stay on stock for them til they runs out, then i will change them. thanks!
