Ohh Mad. This could be a long weekend thing. We got 1 coming up in November dont we? Oh wait.... I prob have exams.. waitt my last exam is 4th November i think..... isnt the long weekend after that?? Weather will be better then too.
Well if its a long weekend, I guess I could drive up, wont be that rush rush. But if i do get lazy then I will take u up on ur offer Andrew, thnx!! We'll make it there in 4 hours not 8.. if Andrew drives hehehe.

I'm dead keen on the Wakefield idea. I'd be amazed if we couldn't rustle up enough people to share the track hire cost. The real trick I guess would be to book it for a long weekend before someone else does.

Ok, I'm the closest to Wakefield, so I'd better add some facts to the above. First, this is Wakefield
Wakefield is only about an hour north of Canberra, maybe 90 minutes from Sydney, so it is a good venue for people from both places. For Melbourne people, it 's maybe 7 hours drive; Brisbane 14 hours; Adelaide, maybe 12 hours (Hay Plain woo hooo!).
The accommodation at the track is ...ok, but there are plenty of good places in Goulburn...or Canberra...or B&Bs nearby.
The next long weekend is 1-3 October, so no worries with Melbourne Cup clash...BUT I can tell you from experience Wakefield is booked that weekend (Cobra Car Club) and there is a waiting list for most 'posted' long weekends.
The next available weekend date for Wakefield this year is 22-23 October, which is Indy weekend
So...if people are keen to do this -- we'd need financial commitments from around 20 people
...I'd be happy to help make it happen, and coordinate with REACT

Since Hymee is busy with his lucrative business, Hymee Enhanced, I am happy to talk to Mazda for a sponsorship and perheps show case their MPS 6. I need to write to Mazda Australia here first. I also need nojooc's help to see if he can get some freebies.
I will coordinate people in VIC up to Wakefield. I am sure at least Stuart (ILIV48) and myself will come.
