This case and the recent stories around customs and baggage handling and drugs importation really does make you worry about what could be stuffed in your bag when you travel and how it is almost impossible to secure your luggage and prove it was not tampered with. The probability is pretty small that you'll get a Schapelle Corby like problem, but the consequences are huge.

Will make me think twice about what countries I visit in the future.

PS The Corby defence team were gumbies... fancy not pushing hard on the admissability of evidence. Whether or not she did it, the case has holes and the defence didn't try hard enough to point them out.

PPS As for the other 9... I fear some of them will be tasting lead as a result of their stupidity.

No way. If the judges have the final say, she's in the cooler throwing baseballs at the wall for twenty years or more. Bad-a-lump.....bad-a-lump......bad-a-lump....... bad-a-lump :p .

Her only hope is a pardon, IMO.....

I know a bloke who now insists on videoing his luggage as it gets checked in - including of course a very clear shot of the scale readout - and when it comes out on the carousel or similar at the other end!! I'm serious!

He reckons it's a whole lot safer than shrink wrap! :D

Re: Schapelle - their legal system is so corrupt anything could happen on appeal but I still think she's guilty.

Maybe those dope users should think about the ultimate consequences of their pathetic habit for the poor fools who have to get the stuff to them.

Singapore is where they use the rotan (cane) for punishment.

There's an Aussie on death row in Singapore at the moment because he was caught smuggling drugs. He agreed to try and export some drugs from Singapore because his brother was in debt.

It is actually fairly easy to not notice a "change in baggage weight" after a long international flight. Just ask me.

Cheers,
Hymee.

The truth is actually funnier (and more serious than that).

Lets just say that after I declared everything I had, and went through customs... I got home and opened the said bag, it didn't have all those things in it.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Send Wildcard over and put a smartbomb into the parlament building.
Or if you insist on being more passive just fly a couple of F-18's over the royal palace at say 800 knots and 50 meters off the rooftop and take out all the windows and wine glasses. Tell them it was bad voodoo coming to get them.

Wildcard has to stay in OZ to defend us against our enemies all the other OZ forces are in Iraq . Afgahninstan , East timor , Solomon islands etc his our last line of defence .

As we have learned in the past your forces allways arrive to late after the event .

I don't know about the other theaters but I just heard you have 1300 in Iraq. I hope you still have some forces left over after that group is elswhere.
I must say you guys are always ready to help out and I thank you for that.
I know about your brave lads in WWll with their "Boufighters". I don't know how it's spelt and you guys already told me once, sorry everyone knows that's not my best class.

What if we had to rely on the French

The French Foreign Legion enjoys a reasonable reputation. I would not like to be Hymee if they caught him spying (phew!...neatly keeps thread on-topic)

Has the Aussie Twin screw Supercharged warrior arrived in America as yet , wonder if he got past US Customs

I hear they are on the lookout for David Hicks types from Downunder carrying suspicious packages

RP Dont give Hymee to much Bourbon or Rum , we all know Turbo couldnt handle his advances on his last trip and ran away from home LOL LOL

And make sure he gets on the right planeon his way home FOR HIS DEBUT AT WAKEFIELD .

Last I heard he was refused a ticket because he is on the terrorist no fly list.
That means he can't get by our border entry either.
