If it's so much fun for you, I'm sure you can go right ahead and fish the day away!

Although I usually detest modern re-workings of Shakespeare, I caught a great version of Much Ado About Nothing on Aunty last night. Apparently, there's 3 more to come (the Taming of the Shrew next week). Well worth it if you like a good yarn, well acted.

Last night's title is also a good description of what's been going on in this forum today.

This whole thread is a crackup ... I haven't watched Much Ado About Nothing because I'm hardly ever home at that time ... would you recommend it though?

I would. Damian Lewis is always worth watching (he was brilliant in the Forsyte Saga) and he's well matched on this occasion by his leading lady. Even Billie Piper is a surprise.

Mind you, the cast changes for each production, so I can't speak for the next three yet.

Well it finally happened. I've heard about problems with breaking the lid on the centre console, and have always been very careful to avoid that. Put the car in for it's 20k service yesterday, and it came back with a floppy lid! Not impressed Jan.

You still under warranty Tim? They fixed mine no questions asked some time ago.

I'm careful with it too. Don't lean on it and don't permit my passengers to lean on it. It's a very flimsy design though.

I'm so sick of getting this message:

"There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.

Anybody else copping that? I'm getting it about 3-4 times a day.

Hitting your back button will usually get you back to the reply box with your reply still in it.

Yep, still warranty. Not that that should be an issue considering they broke it!!! Still waiting to hear back from them, I bet I never get a call and have to pester them more.

Well, exactly ... they broke it, they bought it right?

Where did it break though? Is it the sliding bit?

Underneath the lid, there are tiny little tabs that sit in the track and hold the lid in place. Not a real good design.

Mods, is there a fix in the works for this recurring problem? It's happening reasonably regularly these days (at least to me).

I'd guess it was a bandwidth problem as it only happens at certain times of day (probably when too many people are posting at once).

Do a "shft+ins/ctrl+c" on your posts before you post them Justin Case

For those who haven't seen it, here's a link to footage of the Hamster's dragster crash last year:

Yes, we've missed you Julia.

Glad to hear your hire car was used as it deserved. Nothing's faster in my experience.

Thanks for that We also got to drive a $90k Alfa Brera...so sexy on the road but didn't get out of 2nd gear around the city!!! Geared so tall....not a punchy engine at all.....chasis is nicer than the 8 though I am sad to say....hit the limiter in this one and wasn't even trying...god knows what the top speed is!!!

Looks like it's been busy on here....great to see.....

The current Motor issue has a comparo between the Brera, V6 TT, 3.0 BMW Z4 coupe and the base Cayman. The Brera comes last. Although they say the chassis is good fun, it's too gutless, too heavy and overpriced to buggery. They also pointed out a number of interesting design flaws.

Strictly for Alfa tragics only IMHO.

The TT and the Cayman shared top honours for different reasons. Not a bad read - most of it made sense from my understanding of what these cars can do.

Just paid rego again.

2 years of ownership, and 12500km on the clock. And it's my daily driver too.

I need to get out of the office more...
