The Lego F1 looks cool but I am biased.
Revolver, you need to get yourself/your son the matching Nikko Ferrari F1. They are pretty cool as well.
The 6 is a suprising good drive. Just put a set of Bridgey GIII on wifey's 6 and they seem nicer than the OEM 050.

As for the 6 - I'll keep that in mind when the rubber wears out (in 4 years time probably - 'er indoors is gentle on her cars ).

Yea, its a 1/10th scale. They get up to about 60km/h, only problem is, batteries run out after 15-20mins.
Mate has a Nitro buggy and its a lot of fun. Has to be assembled and even has disc brakes on all 4. I'm trying to put that down on my Christmas list
Yea, the GIIIs are about $90 cheaper than OEM. Found Blacktown Bridgestone Tyre Centre to be quite good. We got 50+K out of ours.

Bit of a bummer for driving but we really need the rain. We've had pretty widespread drought for a while now.
Weird early spring weather. Last Saturday - 27 degrees (celsius), this Saturday - 16 degrees. Go figure.

Fortunately, I've got children who know that wasting a single second of a sunday morning by sleeping in is a criminal act .I'm sure their first waking thought every morning is 'let's wake up Dad!'
I've just locked them in a cupboard.
And looking forward to when they're teenagers.

Man, i remember wheni was a kid, dad would crack it at me if I woke him up on Sunday. So id stay in bed until I heard parents get up which would be about 11-11.30. Boy it was hard......... lol eventually I got to the stage where i could get up, leave my room and tipstoe downstairs and watch tv quietly for bit.. then I guess I went through that stage of "play kitchen" but i was in real kitchen... and Id make nice sloppy breakfast for parents. Id struggle to carry the tray up the stairs and mum would have to get out of bed anyway to open the door for me lol
I dont think you want them when they are teenagers Dave... lol I know I gave my parents grief... wait till your daughter hits year 9.. they think they know it all!!!!!!!!!!

heh heh heh, much of that sounds familiar.
Actually, the male mini-terrorist occasionally realises that if he's ever to make 6, it's better for his health to make the said creep downstairs. However, this patient work is all undone 5 mins later when younger female mini-terrorist wakes up and does the bang, barge and run into the parental bedchamber.
And yes, I'm sure they'll give me plenty as teenagers, but I guarantee they won't be sleeping past 7.00am until they move out.

Forgot to tell you guys about a scary near miss we had late on Sunday arvo.
Driving home in the new 6 on the M5. 'Er indoors was driving as I'd had a few with the brother. Quite busy being Sunday arvo and all and the usual tailgaters were out in force (have you ever noticed that the cars with the longest braking distances do this more often - e.g. large 4WD's driven by macho aggressive types ).
Anyways, inexplicably, as often happens on the M5 , the traffic up ahead came to a halt. We were in the middle lane with a relatively empty exit lane to our left. We had to pull up sharpish and, luckily, 'er indoors checked her mirrors...to see, with rapidly widening eyes, a large prime mover (sans trailer fortunately, or I wouldn't be typing this) struggling to stop.
I heard the skid and swivelled around to see the rig start to drift sideways - straight towards US . Trust me - you don't ever want to look over the heads of your children and see a few tonne of out of control white prime mover heading for your bootlid. Damn, I can still see it now. It was like a closeup from that Speed movie.
To my eternal pride, 'er indoors handled it beautifully. From being in the middle of a sharpish stop, she eased off the brakes and steered smoothly around the stopped car ahead into the exit lane, thus giving the truck from hell some room in our lane. He finished up moving back towards the median strip and the last we saw of him, he was stationary and sideways, half on the strip and half in the lane with dirt still flying.
Not one km down the road, we saw a hottish Commodore missing a front bumper sitting sideways in the dip of the median strip with a cop car directing traffic around the scene. This didn't help 'er indoors' nerves, which were a little shredded by now.
Bloody hell we were glad to get home.

thnx god you're all alright.
must admit syd roads are shocking, i dont know what it is up there, but every1 feels the need to speed excessively, change lanes without indicators or a flick of 1 (big fkn deal 1 blink of an eye and u can miss it). lol dont get me started on the bumpy roads too eric will vouch for how smooth are roads are here, me dont need to wear sports bra in his car no more hahahah
