Ahem, as some of this seems to have been directed at me, let me respond.

1. I've never once had a go at anyone for being on or off topic (except in obvious jest). Hell, given my usual performance that would be rich indeed if I did so.

2. I'm cool with whatever avatars you want. I just find it hard to follow the conversation because you lose track of who is saying what. However, whatever makes you happy.

3. As for boring conversations, I'm as inane as the next person in here but shoes! Come on.

4. I can always understand (and enjoy) your typing.

There, hope that's cleared the air. We're all adults. Let's not get too precious just because we have different ideas about what's entertaining.
