Oh well, that's the end of that. Sold my 8 today. Didn't even get to say goodbye *sob*. I'll be driving a beater for a while until the Evo X lands on these shores. Say goodbye to driving and hello to being a passenger in the drivers seat. Oh well, not too long to wait.... 
My only regret would probably be never having taken it around the track.... other than that, it's the best car I've owned and I've had no complaints. All the best.

have fun with the enw car... it doent mean you are cant come on and share your new car experience with us.
what were other potential candidates before you made up your mind on the Evo X?
a few ppl have sold their 8s and still hangs around here with other make/model cars.

It's well and truly past concept stage alright.
I think the Evo X is shaping up to be the performance buy under $100K.
Have fun with it Capn and, as Eric said, do drop in from time to time and let us know how the Mitsu is.
