Took my car to fix my rolling idle on cold start problem and decided to take a chance and go for the latest available flash , well yeah baby :D my ride is faster smoother and crisper , even with the CZ switched off i will run with it for a few days before i re-boot the CZ unit and see if the difference is as pronounced as it was with the older flash

The WDS would not display the flash file number for me but its definetely worth while getting .
This NEW FLASH WAS DOWNLODED VIA THE INTERNET IT DID NOT COME AS A FILE FROM MAZDA

But then is there a way to find out if there is a newer flash than the

one currently on my car besides buying the scanalyser to check?

You need to get Caio to plug in his sCANalser and get the CALID

I am really dissapointed with the flash update the dealer did for me last week. My Hymee'd exhaust has been emasculated! It sounds really muted and has lost all the burble and popiness that was there before. Sure there is probrably slightly better fuel consumption figures and maybe a little bit more power but I have lost so much more. Boo hoo
I wonder if you can undo it?

 

A poster on the wall at my Mazda dealer advertises that all models are automatically checked for newer flash updates at the time of service. I'll check again next week when I take mine in for the flooding fixit work.

 

Not at the moment. Not even your dealer can undo it without jumping through a huge amount of hoops.

Dave is away for two weeks his Scanalizer is still unopened and i doubt if he knows how to work it, i certainly dont

My old pcm file number WAS SW-N3 J6 EG OOO

I believe i have recieved 2 flashes since then , my car seems more responsive , smother and revs sligthly higher at standstill around 950 rpm .

Yes that was the "G". Two flashes after that will be a new flash presumably.

There is no updated flash details? Would that be related to the heat issue?... I guess you don't know. :o

I wonder if anyone else has been to the dealer recently and has asset to a sCANalyser.
