mike, i think hymee & co. have mentioned many times....
as long as it is "semi" car related, just add "OT" in front of the thread title.... cos not everyone goes th The Lounge....
i ahve done it a few times, so far so good.... i think ;-p

 

Like I said. This is a US based forum. There is a threaded Lounge here already.

 

I politely asked a number of repeat OT offenders to use the lounge a while back and got promptly hit on the head. Appreciate you using OT appropriately Ezzy... at least it makes it easy to ignore OT threads if you're not interested. There is always the .com.au forum where we have a number of forums as well as a private validated members area (albeit a very quiet one).

 

Trouble is our unthreaded lounge in this sub-forum periodically lapses into conversations which might be undertaken more effectively and as less of a distraction by individuals or groups using instant messenger or similar. Just my 2¢

Apologies from me for postwhoring in the past and wasting your time. I'm trying to be good these days.

I think if the lounge and OT threads are used properly and on topic threads are kept on topic we might all be happier.

 

Maybe a second lounge with a title like - "Don't look in here" or "OT Lounge" or "who are you really?" or "Flaming Lounge"

I hope I wasn't complaining about post whoring! I dont have any real issue with it. If I have an issue with a particular intance of it I will happily ask the person to get back on topic

What does crack me up though is that this site is setup with a lounge forum that "Does not contribute to your post count". But we down here aren't allowed to have a sub lounge of our own but its OK to have a "Lounge" sticky where _most_ of the Oz "Post ******" would have racked up their post count. Now, let me see how many smileys I can find to express my feelings on this
