I honestly think it's a coincedence that Carl and Ciao match up on a few IP's. It's too inconsistent and when I search the origin of the IP's I actually get different sides of the country. It's just weird but apparently possible.

OK really late into this piece. But Karl if you really are from adelaide, can you tell me what you can get for "free" on portrush rd in thebe from somewhere usually associated with something quite different and what the colour is on top of the chimney.

Seriously, there can't be an South Aussie who wouldn't know what I'm hinting at.

Give us a crack son!

I'm not too sure what your problem is as I've been quite nice and have been trying to explain this logically. As I said earlier, the mods sometimes do random IP checks of various member. Everyone gets checked eventually so don't think you're anyone special. When we find someone that shows up with 2 or more different names, we check it out. It's as simple as that. Sometimes it is in fact a banned person coming back and we get them again. Other times it is just a coincedence. As I said, you can find at least 2 different IP's that match both me and brillo. That's because we are friends and have logged on at each others houses. I am just looking for explanations. By no means did I single you out as a troublemaker with the intent of getting rid of you so don't take it that way.

I don't really think routine checkup of the forum is anything to get pissy about and certainly nothing to go attacking me over. If you want to get aggressive and play it that way, I can play hardball here to a much higher degree than you can so just remember that before you jump the gun next time. Go take a cold shower and get over it.

It's simple Ciao. Just have your friend Carl post cast iron proof that he isn't you.

Should be no dramas. I'll then issue a sincere apology for doubting you, and we can all move on.

I'm on your case because you and Carl accused Hymee of supplying dangerous exhausts. I happen to have one of those exhausts fitted. Carl told us all he had spoken to the manager at Genie who "allegedly" informed him that fitting fibreglass packed mufflers to rotary powered vehicles is dangerous.

I said back then I knew who supplied the mufflers that Hymee uses for our exhausts. Now is the time to fill you in. Guess what......the very factory that your mate Carl (allegedly) contacted about these mufflers supplies Hymee with full knowledge of their end use. Carl is full of ****.

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers,

Gomez.

The fact that Hymee is a good friend of mine accounts somewhat for my outrage. You should be aware of that.

Pics of the "dangerous product" after approx 30,000Km. No little flammable *****, no deterioration at all. Just nice fluffy, you-could-stuff-your-kids-pillows-with-it quality fibreglass wool.

These are pictures of the internals of Wildcard's Hymee exhaust. His was the first built. It was sacrificed in the name of science. These pics were taken at the Nats last year.

Contrary to popular belief, there really isn't an issue with fiberglass packed mufflers. The original recommendation to not use them on rotaries was the advice that they not be used as front mufflers (aka presilencers) and that only stainless steel be used. This is true as a fiberglass presilencer's life has on occassion been judged in block driven before death. As a rear muffler where the heat is alot less, they aren't really a problem. A muffler failure at the rear is usually a result of manufacturing differences and not so much with the material of the packing. I've used Dynomax superturbo mufflers which are not straight through, fiberglass, and only have crimped seams (not welded) and I've never had one fail on me. Others have used Edelbrock mufflers which were straight through and have had failures. Fiberglass back there isn't much of a concern.

how about the mods clean this thread and get it back on topic! most of this is PM or lounge or breaches of forum rules.

If RG is right about this being a coincidence (and like all of us I respect his approach to the problem), why doesn't Carl take the opportunity to provide proof of residence ( ) so we can all move on?

No good posting "I won't dignify this with a response" or some such crap.

If the suspicion harboured by some longterm members really is unfounded, it should be a simple matter to put it to rest. Not addressing it or taking the wounded pride line will only allow that suspicion to fester, which isn't healthy for anyone, whatever some pyschologist reckons.

Absolutely agree with the general thrust of that but you need to consider that Ciao has previously advised that he is developing this turbo kit not just for himself but also with a view to sell it.

A lot of more mechanically-challenged members invest in mods on the strength of opinion expressed in this place. I certainly bought the Hymee exhaust sight unseen on that basis.

I have read a number of posts from people wanting to buy Ciao's kit.

Now the kit, once the transmission problems are sorted, may very well be fantastic. But if people are going to put some faith in Ciao's comments about it we need this whole "double identity" bunfight cleared up once and for all. Someone's credibility is being questioned here. That's a serious matter and I sincerely hope we can sort it to everyone's satisfaction.

All it would take is for Carl to scan his drivers liscence with address on it (assuming he has one) and PM it to Gomez or RotaryGod for confirmation.
End of story.

Just had a thought, Carl probably can't post a response because Ciao may be busy on his computer ?
