Have been thinking to turbocharge or supercharge my 8, did some 'research' but not much information related locally.. can people who have turbo or supercharger on their 8s share their experiences?

No one here in Australia has done it yet. At least not among forum members. Lots of talk, but no action so far.

Looking at the way the 8 drives it would seem more logical to have a modest supercharger that would help with the lower RPM performance. Whereas I think a turbo on an Rx-8 would exagerate the normal turbo load.... Either way they will use MUCH more fuel...

I'm happy with the performance and I don't feel the need to prove anything to some wally in a WRX... Real cars don't need a turbo!

I know of one turbo 8 that can be seen and ridden in. Rotormaster in Sydney (Wetherill Park), it still has some enginelight issues, however it has been on the car for over a year and no problems to date.
That is the only one I know of.

There are many turbos and supercharger in RX-8 in the northern hemisphere but the question is to get someone tuned. GReddy is good since the program is out to the public to get tuned.

Well yes and no. Bolt on kit and bolt on kit but it is certainly depends on how you tune it. Low boost tubro is certainly not for power getters but it will certainly solve the problem of low torque with similar fuel economy.

All I am always question about the forced induction is tuning, heat management and reliability. Someone will eventually solve all 3 and I am not prepare to spend extra money to find the answer :o.... let the company itself find them out.

Not load LAG... <sound of much forehead slapping> The supercharger would boost at lower RPM and cut out boost at (say) 6,000 RPM...
