How many L's of oil for 1 yr?

So I want enough oil to see me through for another year.
Or at least 6 months.
Ok 6 months.
How many L's?

I say this because John Newell in Sydney is running them at 45$ for 5L and I want to stock up on them and save some $$.

I find that my 8 drinks oil. I topped her up one week ago and she has gone through from just above half on the dipstick to almost at the low mark.
:0
Filled her up with about 1.5L I think.

Yes I know I can do the calculations.
It's 6L a month which is almost 7x5L bottles for 6 months.

How much oil does everyone else use?

PS I just ran a search and there are a couple threads on oils.
I don't want to be a slacker and spam the forum so mods may delete this if they wish.
Of course it wouldn't hurt to leave it.

Depends an how hard you drive the thing. Oil is metered out dependant on the rpm....high rpm, more oil.

I'd go through a five litre bottle in 20,000kms....a bottle a year.

I change it too many time that would not care.

The oil pressure max out at 510kPa and idle at 120kPa. Would 510kPa use more oil? I betcha.

Same here, I hardly ever need to add oil... I don't check every other fill-up anymore either....waste of time. I keep my RPMs low to save gas, and I drive around slow like a pimp...

Sounds to me that you need a Chrysler 300C SRT.

Love the avatar - quite hypnotic.

My buddy has a dark blue 300C with 22" wheels, custom stereo, custom alarm, all tinted out...it's sick. It's got two tone leather, navi, etc...but it's not an SRT.

They have great street presence don't they?

And anything that gets pimps out of Caddys and Hummers has to be good.

You'll find oil use will slightly taper off now that you're past the 10K mark (if comments in previous threads are anything to go by).

I'm also heading to synthetic next service. Much easier for topups between services (i.e. you can pick up a 1 litre bottle of Edge or similar from any servo).
