So now I have been game enough to let her spin like she is designed too, I have finally heard the "beeper". I thought it wasn't working at first, but my passenger heard it.

Are they all such a **** week sound, or is mine a dud? More like someone was playing a gameboy or something. (insert limp-wristed smiley here)

I'll post on a more international section as well, but I thought I would check what the locals have got.

Mine is also very faint but its there, but hard to hear.

 

Hmmmm, have heard the sound many times now :D Put it on the issues list boys, because I know mine is nice and loud and the ones at the Syd drive day seemed to be rather loud too.

 

Mine is loud enough... I think the perceived volume really depends on how much ambient noise there is at the time, eg windows up/down, stereo on/off, other traffic noise etc. Also it probably seems louder if you are staring at the tacco and quiter if you are looking elsewhere when it goes off. You can almost miss it if you are not listening out for it. I did once, but the sudden silence when I hit the 9400rpm engine cutout sure got my attention.
