Anyways, back on topic.......

4 days with the intake installed and no issues with poor idling..... the only complaint thus far, is that fuel economy has gone out the window altogether.

Maybe it's something to do with me revving the f*** out of the car to hear the scream of the intake?

BTW, the engine now makes a distinctive 'whining, whistling' noise at idle, similar to a s/charger...... definitely very cool. :D

There is a certain perverse process whereby creating the very notion of luxury brand, high price, demand actually increases -- that's the way Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Rolls Royce, Cristal etc do business.

Pricing is an interesting art. A few years ago we were selling some software. It was doing pretty well but we were being slaughtered on support, so we decided to double the price of the software to slow things down. Did it? No way ... took off faster than ever ... but at least made it much easier for us to set up better support.

Sorry guys been there done ,the Louis Feraud ,Hugo Boss,D&G thing now days i wont spend more than $20 on a T-shirt or $40 on a pair of no name shorts , heck due to hot weather i have become a Scottsman and let my Quarter pounder hang loose , healthy and another saving sandals and thongs are the go .

After wearing suits ,ties shirts an shoes for 23 years mostly on a seven day basis
i have had a true sea change .

The only excess consumption i have is on income producing investment property :D and cars ,horses and women .

I even bought my exhaust from the house of Hymee.

cheers

I hired a suit once, and I've seen Pretty Woman on video......a few more times than I care to remember .

Actually, the fact I've seen Pretty Woman so many times is inextricably tied to the day I hired that suit, now that I come to think of it. It wasn't dear, that suit......but bloody hell, it's cost me a lot of money........and not just at Blockbuster, either hahaha

(All the best, Disco.)

Love, Gomez.

I am confussed is my domain www.surrenderonline.com.au or freewebspace Just joking ill stick you on takas bandwidth

AMG i have also raised prices on web design services and a touch on the web hosting side and the customers keep on coming. You have to start knocking customers back. I am rejecting anything under 6k recently till mid March.

Though current quotes still remain un-changed

back on topic - NOJOOC if you like it and you are happy with it mate then its all good.. though dont expect your fuel to get any better :D

Regards
Phillip

It's the same as why some people wear $150 suits, whereas I love Hugo Boss.
Some like $25 champagne whereas I like Cristal, you get my drift?

Mazdamaniac, you could probably put together a turbo setup for my 8 for less than $5k, but would I get it?

Probably not, I would most likely spend $10K for a Greddy setup instead....... no offence to you, but it would make me feel better, the same feeling I get when I wear D&G, Hugo Boss, etc.
Excellent. I can respect that completely.
You made an informed choice and you know what satisfies you. That is precisely the knowledge that many who buy these intakes do not posess.

I remember I have seen a "rice" boy having one of those filter ram charger in his car... I wonder who that may be

Yumpat told me Autoexe that the RAM intake that have is from Gruppe M but I don't have actual evidence of that.

FunkyR do you know if Gruppe M actually one for RX-8, I can't access the list for some stupid reasons (the popup blocker).

sorry i think i made a slight mistake. Because i thought AUtoexe that has the Carbon box is actually made by Gruppe M.

But AMUSE had the Gruppe M intake from Revolution isn't it?

Or is it just a Stickers?

Dunno.... the work computer (me hides under desk) doesnt have the japanese language pack installed for adobe so I cant see it.... but off memory there were no RX8 intake when I looked at it about a month ago..... I havent heard of one out for the RX8 either.... but from the pic it looks kinda authentic - it's got the heat shield which looks like a decent fit.....

Anyway, the one in that pic would be a power charger - the filter ram charger would be a better product if they make one......

I am about 99% sure it is a sticker :D

Gruppe M always have a shell - or a Ram for that matter. To be AMUSE one is like Blitz's one. Revolution in Japan have the same one. Bloody useless without heat shield and he lost power sucking hot air in. A hot air intake alright

I think he also has Fujita eng manifold, custom straight pipe and single custom made 3" cannon type catback.

I saw his car at this year's Melbourne autosalon. I just have to be at the front enterance and can hear is car cruising along at 5kmh back from the dyno machine to his show spot. Not to mention what he gets on the roller
