I think this "can't fix it the first time" is a bit endemic with (Mazda) dealers. I've now learnt to drop by just after lunch, get the SM (or better, the leading hand) to look at the issue, and then make a booking. This has been especially valuable on the recalls when otherwise they will have your car in for a day, do nothing other than confirm the recall needs to happen and they don't have the parts, then have you back for another day.

 

The other "problem" I have encountered is that when the order parts for warranty, they don't generally order them overnight. Standard paractice is they do a weekly stock order, hance it saves them freight if the warranty parts come with that order.
