Greetings from Noosa
Folks
Thanks for all your advices .. I made it to Noosa.
Opted to take coast road up and several observations can be made
1) Frequency of RX8 sightings in QLD is much higher than NSW. between sydney and the border saw 1 every 4 hours. Once in Qld saw 1 per hour.
Todays sighting was a Velocity Red on David Low drive near Point Arkwright. If you are reading this .. I'd recommend parking a little further off the fast line!!
2) The RX8 is a grand tourer ... comfy, fast, smooth and that renesis makes overtaking so so so easy
3) Road is a vast improvement on the old roads... but gee I miss the Buladelah curves!!
4) Finally found some fuel economy - just need to stick to 100km in 6th for 4 hours!
5) Queenslanders love the RX8 ! Get a comment every time I get in or out .. maybe its just me being in holiday mood so I dont look to grumpy
More to follow in the next week!
Rob

I'm in Moloolaba / Maroochy , complete with white hire car , but was thinking about popping up to Noosa in the next few days for some gelati and a wander through the National park, followed by a cocktail or two on Hastings street.
I will probably also go to the Eumundi markets on Sunday.
Other than that, I'm going to inhabit the bars ( what few they have) down here.

Sure,
I actually drove the Lancer down to Brisbane yesterday to try and find a decent pair of headphones. It is not very easy to find Sennheisers or Technics in Maroochy or Coloundra on a Sunday.
But now I'm stuck back in paradise (Maroochy during the day, Moloolaba at night) still puzzling to work out why I can't find New Scientist anywhere but "Soldier of fortune" and "Guns&Ammo" are everywhere. And a decent pub. I'd kill for a decent pub.
So, in rambling summary, feel free to come up and meet any time after 5pm. During the day I'm making the world safe from running out of kitchen appliances.
