FS: Beloved MazdaSpeed brake pads (front)

Of course I am not selling a half worn pad to you

They are my spare set at home.

I am selling this in participation of my future mod

These are MazdaSpeed B spec brake pads for Mazda RX-8. There is a set of front rotor only.

Suitable for street and track.
0-600 degree C.
Great initial force.
Amazing control.
Minimal fade on track.
Match perfectly to the stock rotor.
Last longer than the other aftermarket pad that I use.
Better than the other aftermarket pad that I use.

Downside: There is A LOT of brake dust. Recommend to use a spray on *like the Michellin spray on* to your rims - the brake dust will simply hosed off - no rubbing required.

Pictures are here:

Most important info:
I want $250 for them. Shipping free within Australia.

PM me if you want more info.

No it is $29.95 from Autobarn. It is a suggestion not part of a deal.

Hi Taka ,
is that the retail price ?
would I need MS pads on rear as well to match ?
Have not checked retail price here yet but if it is a good buy I
would be keen if you would ship to NZ .

Yes that is the retail price in Japan, but I did not calculate the cost shipping from Japan and tax and my shipment to you.

Ok I can ship it to NZ free. Why not ?

MS pad at the rear is not necessary but I could be great if you do. You can do it in different stages.

Check out the retail price in NZ and get back to me. Make sure the product number is QSE1 49 280. Oh BTW I use the box saying QSE1 49 480 (which is the rear brake - it is simply a nicer box ).

Haha I am not in a hurry selling them. Coz I know if I bring them each time I go to track with the VIC lot - one of you will run out of brake and pay $250 for them.

The other one is EBC red... have spoken to another guy using it, it just does not work well in cold. Easily warm up though. I found controlling the car is better with the MazdaSpeed... love this pad.

dannobre - I am going on to an AP racing 4 pot caliper... will try the pad that comes with it, and then my fav pad (Project Mu HC+ and its rotor) to compare.

EBC did not squeal.

MazdaSpeed did squeal when it was brand new but I "warmed" it up once and it did not squeal until the end of its life.

I've got the EBC reds in the fronts only and I've not noticed any squealing or poor performance when cold. Some brake dust but not as bad as the MS pads from what I've heard.

Still, that's a good deal Taka is offering (i.e. saving on shipping and tax).

They are the same, but it ain't going to Houston from Australia - cost too much for you. It goes to xatnep.

Should I sell it to him ... he is already fast - this will make him even faster look out!

We go off topic a bit and I don't mind since this thread is dead.

I don't see the point of clutch set up unless we can get more power. Flywheel is good for the 1st and 2nd gear only and you should not feel more improvement after 3rd - so useless on track.

It costs too much to install.

If I had to get it, I will get a combo set and go sick for the future FI - ie: Exedy; but I doubt it would be nice driving in the traffic at a 40kph zone.
