I had mine this week at 1200km... Nothing fell off or exploded.. :D
Seemed to rev much better after the service, but I can't understand why unless they tuned it in some way or it was "flashed"..

Probably you had the old... "well it's been serviced now, I don't need to keep holding back!".:D
Or maybe the flash.
First service took a couple of "elapsed hours", god knows how much real work was done? There really not too much on the service list.

Plenty of room down here.. Just go to the DIY pages for instructions on how to convert from LHD to RHD - put RX-8 on a ship and you will be here in a couple of months..

It's a pretty quick service - I think it only takes about an hour. I just waited for mine while they did it. I got my oil and oil filter changed as well (which you have to pay for). If you're going to do that it's probably better to go over the 1000km so that you get more value out of it.

The first service is only free before 1500k's. You leave it longer, you pay for it. I recently had mine done and they put a bit of oil in it at no charge (wow, thanks). Look at the manual it tells you what they check for/do.
