I thought you'd be all organised out Revolver

Sounds good!

Mate, not even close to being worn out! :D

I'll be in touch re: cruise down (and back) in due course.

In the meantime, if anybody has a violent disagreement to a 3.30 sharp departure time from said roadhouse and would prefer it to be earlier or later, please post your suggested timeframe and we'll see what we can do to accommodate you. My mob is on the Guide so those aiming to be there but running unavoidably late can text or ring and we can sort something out if need be.

Depending on our chosen route, the QLD team could rendezvous at the said meeting point. How many RX-8's in convoy would that be in Friday arvo traffic?

Cheers,
Hymee.

Well, the idea is to meet south of Sydney on the highway. Once we're past Campbelltown the traffic thins dramatically so it shouldn't be a problem. Keep an eye out here and I'll post the suggested meeting point with enough directions to enable those from points north to find the joint.

I'd say you'd be looking to meet at the Mobil Road House at Pheasant's Nest. Just don't attempt to eat there, or have coffee :o

Yes, I think that's the one I've got in mind Timbo. I just want to check if there's anywhere else equally handy and do stuff like a km count from a landmark like the toll booths on the M5 so everybody has a feel for where it is. I'll do that on my way to Wakefield this weekend and report back.

I agree re: hot food and coffee, etc. We're not going to camp there - just fill their car park for 30 mins while we get everyone together and then **** off! :D

C'mon, what about 20 RX-8's and with say 10 "Hymees" echoing through the harbour tunnel :D

J/K. Who knows if we will even come down the coast road.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Sounds to me like an excellent idea. It's a bloody long drive from Brisbane to Goulburn and Saturday will stretch into the night for the dinner. Breaking up your journey a bit will ensure you have the energy to keep going till stumps on Saturday night.

Pit Stops

Hi Guys,
I just got back to Melbourne after driving to Port Stephens, NSW for a conference.
As far as Pit stops go for the trip up, I filled up at a shell servo on the outskirts of Melbourne - i don't know the suburb name :o and then didn't refuel till Albury, NSW.
I made the mistake of stopping at McDonalds for brekkie and missed out by 1 minute (I arrived at 10.31am) - which promptly reminded me why i loathe maccas . My next fuel stop and toilet break was at the "Dog on the Tuckerbox" A huge new BP garage opened there about 2 weeks ago and they have Subway :D unfortunately they also had a very big queue
For the trip home i had a brief bit of convoy action with 2 yellow ferrari's for 50kms or so :D :D :D until they got bored with me and shot off into the distance i did stop at the BP garage in Albury, for fuel & dinner and it was quite nice food.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Rick

The pit crew jacket in Black is very noice! Approx AU$80 delivered depending on the exchange rate at the time. I know of at least two that will be on display at the Nats.

Due to the limited number of available colours we are not considering these for the Nats :D However, sponsors are invited to consider -- I have everyone's size!

They come in Black, Red, Yellow and Blue. The Red is as bright as the Yellow!

Be aware, they also vary in style between different providers. One has exposed zip (!) the other has a fold over flap (!)

42 sleeps left (Will be too excited to sleep on Thursday 20/10!)

The jacket is ment to be worn by officials and pit crew to stand out and not as a fashion accessory or to match your car colour or your jocks :p

As there will be lots of people there if some one needed to find an official they would stand out in the crowd , thats the purpose of the jacket .
