End of Warranty inspections
End of Warranty inspections
Coming up to the end of 3 years of (mostly) happy motoring, I'm wondering whether to bother with an end-of-warranty inspection by the RAA/NRMA/RACV. I didn't do so with my MX5 and haven't had any problems really since then. I've also heard of inspections that failed to pick up things that turned out to be big problems.
Anyone had one done on their 8?

Yeah, i haven't been real impressed with NRMA/RACV for vehicle checks but i would cruise into my local mazda dealer and get them to do a 1 2 3 on the car.
Have you considered getting an extended factory warranty?

I think I'll probably take the 8 for a good fang in a couple of weeks then just take it in for its usual service.

Greetings All,
I received a letter from our sevicing dealer a few weeks ago informing me of the fact that our RX-8 was nearing the end of the 3 year warranty. They offered a free 'end of warranty checkup' that we recently got done.
There was nothing to do on the car but I did mention to them that the dashboard squeaks sometimes and that they owe me the rest of the oil from the last service that they forgot to leave in the boot in the genuine Mazda container.
The checkup only took about 1 hour - this was with Central Coast Motor Group - Gosford - waves to Darrin - they have treated us extremely well since we started getting the car serviced there.
