Discussion: Cruise - Sunday 7th September SE Queensland Members
Hi All,
I am organising a Sunday cruise for 2 weeks time and hope to meet some of you guys. Good opportunity for all of us in SE Queensland.
Details (subject to discussion), as follows:
Meet at Harries Dinner, 9:30 am. Newmarket Road Windsor.
Leave at 10:00 am
Head out to ... PM ME FOR DETAILS ... Since this is not a private forum I prefer not to advertise fully ... It will be a couple of hundred km, and is a lovely drive.
I propose to have a picnic stop somewhere, rather than eat at a pub or restaurant.
Also, I recommend y'all get hold of a portable UHF radio. They are great for cruises. Only about $80 from the usual outlets such as DSE, Tandy, Jaycar.
Cheers,
Hymee.

Hymee, We'd love to come, but unfortunately September 7 is Father's Day, and I get to bathe in the adulation of my family. Well not that they don't do it over the rest of the year, but anyway I would be dead meat if I didn't front. We'll do the one after that.
BTW, I agree with your comments about the power question. I'm in the making and selling business myself, and I tend to react more or less as Mazda is (I think) doing. It's inevitable in my game (scientific instrumentation) that you are going to run up against circumstances where you have to say, yes, well, we didn't see that situation, but we'll make it right. However, you don't knee-jerk, you gather the data, evaluate the situation, ask the right questions (calmly), understand the problem, and then fix it. It may take a little time, but we are after a permanent fix, and permanently satisfied customers.

Hey Hymee, don't cancel out because of us! It seems a lot of 8 owners are of an age where they haven't assumed the responsibilities of parenthood. I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities later on.

Hymee,
Count me in for a future date.
I tried to organise a day for last weekend but there weren't enough numbers for it. Looks like we have more numbers now so maybe it is worth another try.
The 14th or 28th September would be good for me.
How was Willowbank on Saturday?
I would love to do this in the 8 but not sure I want to thrash the car that much!

Sat/Sun drive?
While we have the time and forewarning, let's not forget to arrange a nice little RX8 convoy sometime this month in Brisbane. Finally passed the 1000km mark and nothing bad to report. Loving it.
Haddock
PS, who was the titanium RX-8 down in Southport, Gold Coast last Sunday I managed to see and wave to whilst sitting in a jam?! Anyone here?
