Folks,

I ordered my car in May, the accessories in July and I pick up the car on Friday, minus the Rotary badges and the strakes. Dealer informs me at the 11th hour that they are on backorder.

Is anyone else experiencing the same delays with this stuff or is it just my dealer?

I ordered a chrome rotary motif for my back bumper 3 weeks ago and was informed yesterday that Mazda Aust. can't get any because they have run out - even in Japan! I am told it will be "at least" a couple of months. Someone didn't plan ahead...

Looks like there may be a good opportunity for some aftermarket companies to get in on the act and get some non-genuine accessories out there while Mazda are trying to catch up!

 

I'm waiting on strakes, scuff plates and door protectors. Hoping for a fit of these on my first service.

I think it's a "general" problem - not RX8 specific. We're still waiting on scuff plates for my wife's Mazda 6 that we ordered on the same day.,,, but at least we're driving them :D
