Mazda has raced NA rotor's since the beginning, a forced induction 3 or 4 rotor wouldn't make a good reliable circuit car. Mazda themselves haven't done it - I'm not in the position (financially) to start doing it!
There is far too much heat generated from 100's of more hp, it complicates everything.
I am a massive fan of the 787B, I have seen and heard it in real life - it is just plain amazing!

Hi mate, I'm hoping it will tour around the world a bit. As it is a multi-purpose vehicle (circuit being the main), I want to do a number of things with it, like Drag, High Speed runs, Drift, Show, etc.
If we are still in the UK by the time it is finished then it will go over there for a bit.

Main reason for the wheels is to make it look good, handling wasn't the number one priority - but it would be very interesting to compare it around a track with the standard wheel/tyre combo. I don't think there would be a lot in it - if anything it should be quicker.
I also think you're probably right about the track.
