As for the time at Wakefield - commendable but let's face it - it ain't about power at that track.

Drivline, brakes, suspension, wheels, are more or less all done. Peddle box, brake lines, seats, gearbox mounted, dummy engine mounted, done by next month. Then another rest for a while before they start on the rollcage, exhaust system, dry sump system, plumbing for oil/fuel, ...........
Still a way off unfortunately - but slowly getting there!!!
Some up to date pics. here:

you cant compare a BBS with factory RX8 wheels.
the factory RX8 wheels breaks easy because they are quite light.....
remove the spare wheels and take away junks you dont need in the car to make up for the extra 4lbs from the BBS

Secondly, yet to hear of anyone breaking an OEM wheel in circumstances that wouldn't also break something like the BBS wheel under consideration. I know it's heresy to you but in my view the OEM wheel is a pretty good thing for a stock part.
Thirdly, I HAVE removed my spare and other assorted junk.
Looks and "street cred" are one thing but I refuse to spend $4K plus for a wheel that doesn't perform at least as good as the OEM wheel.

Hi all,
Wheel/tyre package is heavier for sure, and acceleration is slower with the larger diameter wheel.
However! I think that with the Eibach kit which is slightly lower than standard, type and size of tyre, (footprint of the tyre it much larger) - it handles better for sure. Bumpy corners are a slightly different matter as Revolver has mentioned the unsprung weight is greater with the BBS wheels.
You really have to push it around corners though to get any excitment out of it (I mean really push it!) it feels like a go-kart at times, REALLY lacks power though (engine/auto).
Main reason for the wheels is to make it look good, handling wasn't the number one priority - but it would be very interesting to compare it around a track with the standard wheel/tyre combo. I don't think there would be a lot in it - if anything it should be quicker.
Ezzy - re the 4rotor, engine will be a 26B NA (not 20B) - hopefully producing a conservative 650hp. one day.....
