Have just noticed a milky froth on my dipstick over the last week or so.
Anyone else?
I asked my serveice manager and also searched other threads. It has been a fairly common experience in NA and Europe over their winter -- condensation in the sump, probably due to short trips and not sufficiently heating the engine oil on all trips. And that's been a bit of my sriving over the last few weeks -- fewer long trips.
Interested if anyone else has the same experience

I did and now that you mention it it was on a real cold day (for QLD anyway about 15deg)
I thought it was due to high rpm frothing the oil but the water thing sounds plausable but my car had traveled 150km before checking so it should have been nice and warm.
I also lifted my water cap for the first time the other day and there was a thin flim of oil on the waters surface. only minor so I was thinking it was from the plastics manufacture?

sounds worrying. I will be keeping an eye on this situation to make sure it does not worsen.
I will also be having a look at my oil and radiatior this weekend. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah Timbo....I noticed it 3 weeks back. Like a milkshake on the top of the dipstick. Freaked out when I saw it, being a piston type guy for all those years I "knew" what it meant! Or thought I did!
I had Kas engine failure type flashes in front of my eyes....coolant in oil.....Oh no.....split block.....sheeet.
Raced in and hit the forum and found a heap of references to it in the Tech Garage.....very common on this and previous rotaries. Thought to myself, "Thank God for that Gomez old son, just avoided a bullet!"
Just condensation forming around the top of the stick, when you pull it out it also gets on the tip of the stick, giving the impression of a foaming water/oil mix. You, like I, have to give the car a bit of stick to evaporate the water off!
Relax....regards, Gomez.

as stated, nothing to worry about, being it's winter in the Southern Hemisphere. Here in the USA many of us experienced the same thing, it just takes wiping off and extra time or two to check the oil. It's when the engine gets hot while the air is cold.
