Are K4 - 1 applicable to the Australian cars or the American ones .??

There is only one questionable batch of poorly forged lower arm. Michael.

K4 -1 is the batch number, presumably there are many of those, but the actual number only Mazda knows. You are doomed having it no matter what part of the world you are.

Seems to me that they built these cars on different production lines my car is only 20 vin numbers before Big Daves but we have totally different numbers on the control arms

Mine went in to Penfold Mazda today for 40K service and recall fixes. Got the MA letter in the post today as well by coincidence (had booked the service a couple of weeks ago)

Got a call to say that they needed some parts for the heat problem because they'd found some heat damage - I'll report back when I know more (picking it up tomorrow). Suspension checked out fine though.

BTW Kalli they gave me a Tribute as loan car too!

Got my letter yesterday for the fuel tank heat issue.

Really wish they didn't send it to me 3 days before I take it to Wakefield to flog it 'round a track!

Mine is due for a service later in September and I'm about to get a Hymee catback so I'm gonna get them to:

1. Do the routine service.

2. Do the recall work.

3. Instal the Hymee. :D

4. Upgrade my starter motor, battery and plugs (if they will do it ).

I've also got my car finally booked in next Tuesday to have the panel damage on the rear offside quarter repaired (my dude has been flat out with insurance work and hasn't been able to get to it until now).

So come Nats time I'll have a schmicked up car (and a lighter wallet ).

Got my letter yesterday, only for the heat buildup. The service centre in Gladesville, Sydney is booked out until Thursday next week.

The person i spoke with advised that the process takes about 1 1/2 hours do complete.. but i remember the letter was saying that this repair takes about 1/2 day.
hrrmm..

I asked about the loan car, $40 per day!!
dammit! no freebies.. can anyone recommend a good service centre near sydney?
