2013 RX8 Mystery Tour
Good to see a few people are keen to go, lets hope we find a few more.
Bremma, you and Slidin8 should get together and come up in one car and share the costs.
Or you could fly up and I'm sure we could find a couple of cars to put you both in. Certainly cheap enough to fly up from Christchuch to Auckland nowadays.
I'm sure we could also find you some where to stay if needed.
Anyway as to the date of the event. yet to be confirmed, but Easter was where we were originally looking at when we were going to make it a two night event, but now its just an overnight event, so I'll talk some more with Brettus and see what the consensus is?
The Leadfoot festival is on the 22-24 March if anyone is interested in going to that as well. - have a look and let me know - Leadfoot Festival — Welcome . Cost is not cheap at $95 a day, but would be good to see. A few Rotaries are racing.
I suggest if you know anyone else that has a Rotary powered road vehicle that may be interested in coming along for a weekend, ask them to come along.
We don't want this to become a Rotary hoon fest, but would be keen to see some interesting Rotaries turn out.
I've gone over the first part of the first day and some of the roads are looking pretty good.
The first part of the first day is going to be run much the same as the other events, its a sheet of instructions and questions that will get you to the finish.
The second part of the first day is going to be a convoy/caravan up to the next destination with a stop on the way for photos etc.
Anyway give us some feedback and we will do some more.

The new 2013 RX8 mystery tour stickers have been made, so they are ready to put on some cars.
Scott - I'm sure we will get it all sorted in time for you to organise the baby sitters and bring that work mate along, the more RX8's the better.
Brettus is checking out the Leadfoot festival for us.
Its all starting to come together, all we need now is a few more people and their cars.
My car is in bits at the moment, got a few more little things to sort out and then hopefully by the end on next week, it should all be back together.

The route for the Mystery tour is already basically sorted, with a few little things to finish off and its doesn't go past hampton downs this year.

We have yet to confirm the dates yet, but should be soon.
Looks like we are going to have plenty of things to see and do, if the weather is good.

Ok here's the confirmed date of the event - the weekend of the 23-24 of March. Start your planning and tell your Rotary mates to come along for the ride.
Depending on the weather on the Sunday 24th and how many people are interested, we are looking at going to the Leadfoot Festival, but will decide this on the day.
Lets see if we can find a few more people and cars to come along.

Yes we can get a club discount, as long as the tickets are bought before the event date. If you need to know more info on this discount, then maybe contact Brettus or myself. Brett has been in contact with the Leadfoot people.

I'm still in the dark ages when it comes to the QR codes.
My phone still needs to be wound up with a crank handle.
If the code relates to our event then I'm happy to add it, if it relates to the leadfoot festival, then I would rather not add it.
Scott we're still working on accommadation, so we let you know as soon as we have sorted something out. Might be pitching a tent on the beach - maybe not.
