I was down in Hamilton over the weekend talking with Brettus about this possible event and so far it seems like a few good ideas are coming to play, but we also were looking at costs and it would likely be around $1000 each, give or take a bit. Thats taking in fuel and accommodation, food etc.
The track Brettus is looking at would be Taupo, as it looks like there is something on down there over labour weekend. I think Brettus is going to look into that and find out if its possible to organise rides etc and costs.
Stephen T, since Wellington is your old home town, do you know of any cheap accommodation or free maybe?
If anybody has some ideas of things to do, or go and see, this would be a good time to mention them.
Lets see where this goes.

I don't know if I will be able to make it for this trip. I really would like to, but we promised the kids we would take them to Australia next year (there first trip overseas.) And the savings for that have really taken a hit lately, so we will probably have to pass on this one
