19 inch wheels + tyres for $2750 cheap??

hi guys, anybody know how much I would normally expect to pay for good set of 19inch wheel and tyres?
it's just that i have a chance to get them for about $2750 and I want to know how good a deal that is..

don't have all the details but the wheels are ROH and the profiles are 19x8 front ;19x9 rear
245/35 series front
265/30 series rear

the deal is that i let my car be used as a demo car for AutoSalon for weekend.. get photos taken of my baby with the wheels I guess ^^

anyway, will appreciate any expert's comments..

dunno if it's worth it coz my wheel + tyres are fairly new and I love the stock mazda wheels =)

will the car be available for public to view or will it be locked?

Let them use the car, if they like the rims then you buy them

Playa78,

Im not sure of the latest pricing for ROH but this seems like a normal price you would expect to pay if not alittle more.

Are they actually cutting you a deal here to use your car as demo?

Last time we hired cars for a photoshoot for a website it costs 300 dollars a day. Maybe you can let them know and/or adjust the pricing accordingly.

yep. that's basically the deal. they use the car as a demo to display their wheels. I do them a favour so they give me discount :D i was thinking if the price is not too bad, maybe I construct a deal for them to give me the same deal when I have to get my tyres changed etc..

well a US forum member had his car on diaplay and consiquently lost his gear ****. Do you really want every man and their dogs touching your car. Admiring from behind a rope is 1 thing, but for people to look indise/out and be opening sitting and closing your doors all day is a big no no. tell em to use a local dealers demo model for that.

thats not bad at all... and how wide are those wheels? You need to double check with your insurance company as quite a lot of insurance companies don't accept any wheel greater than 8.5J in width although those wider wheels are still legal to be used on the street.

I just changed my insurance company to GIO as they accept any wheels that are legal... but RACV does not wanna change its rule of 8.5J which is too bad (also my friend's bmw comes in standard as 9J already... but they still insure him? strange)...

cheers,

richie

I cant mention what cars Playa78 as the ad has not been in the public as yet. but the cars are a year and a bit older than the rx8.

Phillip

thanks for infos guys.
the car will be at Autosalon display this weekend @ Homebush.
it will have sets of ROH wheels displayed. so make sure to see it if u are happen to be there =D
the manager at ROH told me that the car will be for display only which means ppl can't touch and get in and out of the car like it was a mazda dealer :D
I think it will be fun experience and the ROH guys are very happy to be able to source a red RX-8 just in time for the show I think. plus I will get some stuff, passes and some good deal on tyre + wheels later on when I need. so it's all good.
