I guess we still have time to do this!
OK BBQ???? BYO food??? Drinks??? and desert???
I means a trip to the supermarket the Friday prior and bring their food whatever they like. I just go down to Coles and get a BBQ pack. I can see Stu having a Twisties sandwich there :.
AS has BBQ areas and should not be hard to find one nearby.
Andrew, or someone else, can bring the utensil and oil for cooking. I don't think I can find them quick after moving houses .

My opinion... 2 or 3 course meal for lunch is just too much for me. I am on a diet... preparing for the Xmas meals...
However, I would be just as happy to force feed myself if it is everyone's decision to go and eat a huge lunch.
Do they serve chicken parmigiana there? I'm a chicken eater too... I eat only chicken

I think a picnic BBQ will be better - stuff those set menu that no one can choose what to eat
Now if I can set up another voting box I could but...
Cafe (in Mornington - I can find and book for 20 easy).
OR
BBQ (BYO food and drink to share like last time - someone will bring utensils and plates).
VOTE NOW!

My 1st preference would be a cafe (or even something like Ashcome Maze which might be good for the children although I do not remember if you can access the cafe without paying for entrance which maybe cost prohibitive) Too many choices maybe.
However happy to go along with a BBQ and could even bring tongs, BBQ mate etc!
Will await democratic outcome.

I'd prefer a BBQ, or, we could just get a bunch of chickens & salads (K.I.S.S.) - I can get some plastic plates, knives, forks, spoons etc from Safeway.
I'd prefer not to bring the cheesecake or pav 'cause i don't want bits of it scattered through the car if i have to brake suddenly

Id prefer a less mess day.
If i recall wat happened at Lake mountain, the wives ended up cooking the bbq........... so perhaps ask your wives what they prefer
The main difference between bbq and cafe is how we want to socialise. the bbq would be outside, more space, perhaps less noise from other people, perhaps nearby the cars also. but cafe would be indoors, and definately needs to be booked, also key thing is no clean up will be required, and bit more selection on what people can order. I mean if kids r coming it would be easier for bbq, hopefuly park area, so they can have a play around.
Just this time if its a bbq, the "meats" need to be shared a bit as to whos bringin it, poor stu got stuck wit that last time, and its a fair bit!!
Another thing... if its gonna be a hot sticky day (god knows wat weather we'll get.. could be rain could be heat who knowz in melb.." we need to be somewhere out of the sun..................
i vote cafe, but i somehow think bbq will win. lol

So Stu will bring us meat again
BBQ = 5,
VS
Cafe = 3,
Yet to reply = 5.
I can always make a plan if BBQ wins - there will be a backup plan if it rains (to be decided on the Thursday) - we go cafe . I will book one (without deposit and quiet) and cancel it on the Thurs b4 if we go BBQ on the Sunny Sat. I will find the cafe today.

I would like to vote BBQ. Nicer social atmosphere and I guess plenty of room for the kids (and overactive adults) to run around. I'll bring some non-alchololic beverages, juice and soft drinks + cups.

I think bbq is winning............ perhaps during the week b4 the meet taka should put up a list of everything required, and every1 can nominate what they wish to bring. Meats should be spilt up, so 1 person doesnt burden the cost.
Stu & Taka have a good friendship..................... after all.. you two did spend extra time in wakefield.. jk
Tell ur wife what ................................ oh and stu.. remember to bring extra ice pack "incase" silly me forgets again jk i will be prepared this time hehe
Taka, can I knick 1 of ur cb radios for the day too pretty please

I am for BBQ. Like I said, I will be happy to bring the Salads so all people need to worry about is there meat.
IO am also happy to cook, but if other people start first I am not about to go pushing people out the way (unless they ask me to!)
