RX8Fun Products and Pricing

NOTE: derwankel has retired. All inquiries regarding these products and orders should be directed to D Menac 7 at dkmdk1@ameritech.net

Euro Spoilers are not available at this time and there are no immediate plans on manufacturing this product at any time in the Future. I apologize for the discontinuation of this product, but I am not equipped to handle this large of an item.

Here is the pricing information for items currently offered for sale at RX8Fun. Please check back from time to time as I will be adding updates and images and maybe a new item or two.

If you are interested in purchasing an item and have a question, you can send mail to dkmdk1@ameritech.net. I'll get back to you as quickly as I can. If you'd like to purchase an item, contact D MENAC 7 at dkmdk1@ameritech.net Be sure to specify what you are purchasing as well as any special requirements you may have.

One thing to note about these products is they are not mass produced, but rather custom built to order. If you are looking for something a little different or a little special with perhaps some customization, this is the place to look. If you are looking to save some real dollars off of the MAZDA prices for similar items, well you can do that here as well. These products are not mass produced and take some time to manufacture. Presently, I am backed up 6 - 8 weeks but will be making every effort to speed up production by outsourcing some of the work to professional auto painters..

Click here before ordering to see estimated time of shipping based on placing an order today.

Just realize with limited production, only so many customers will be able to take advantage of these prices and unique items. I'll do my best to accommodate as many of you as I can as quickly as I can.

Regards,

Dennis (D Menac 7)

A note about shipping. Whenever possible I will combine orders consisting of multiple items into a single box/shipment. As always, if you have questions, email me at dkmdk1@ameritech.net.

Item 1.

Side Strakes-

These strakes are reproductions of the original aluminum RX-8 side strakes, but at much lower cost and, I think, with a better choice of finishes. The standard finish on the RX8Fun strakes is the look of polished aluminum. Each strake is custom molded from urethane and finished using only the best materials (stainless steel screws, 3M tape, etc.), assuring you that the look and quality you want for your RX-8 can be had without paying too dear a price.

Optional finishes are available for the strakes for an additonal fee. Factory RX-8 colors are available for those that want a more unique and integrated look from their strakes. In addition, those of you who would prefer 3 strakes per side can special order those as well.

If you are lookng for something really unique, such as a special paint job, let me know.

Pricing on your custom built RX-8 Side Strakes is:

Standard Finish - 4 Strakes - $109.00 ($89.00 through 12/31)
Standard Finish - 6 Strakes - $139.00 ($119.00 through 12/31)
OEM Finish - $5/strake
Shipping and Handling to lower 48 States - $7.00
Shipping and Handling elsewhere - Actual Cost via US Air Mail when possible.

Item 2.

Front Rotary Accent-

This front rotary accent is a reproduction of the original aluminum RX-8 front accent, but at lower cost and with a very nice bright aluminum look finish. Like the original, this front accent is installed using 3M tape and small "christmas tree" retaining pins through the factory installed holes. Made of urethane and finished with several coats of hard polyurethane clear coat, this front accent enhances the look of your RX-8 as you arrive and reminds everyone what's under the hood.

Optional finishes are available for an additonal fee. Factory RX-8 colors are available for those that want a more unique and integrated look from their front accent.

If you are lookng for something really unique, such as a special paint job, let me know.

Pricing on your custom built RX-8 Front Accent is:

Front Accent With Standard Finish - $29.00
Optional Finish - $7.50
Shipping and Handling to lower 48 States - $7.00
Shipping and Handling elsewhere - Actual Costs via US Air Mail when possible.

Item 3.

Rear Rotary Accent-

This rear rotary accent is a reproduction of the original aluminum RX-8 rear accent, but at lower cost and with a very nice bright aluminum look finish. Like the original, this rear accent is installed using 3M tape. Made of urethane and finished with several coats of hard polyurethane clear coat, this rear accent enhances the look of your RX-8 as you pull away and reminds everyone what's under the hood.

Optional finishes are available for an additonal fee. Factory RX-8 colors are available for those that want a more unique and integrated look from their rear accent.

If you are lookng for something really unique, such as a special paint job, let me know.

Pricing on your custom built RX-8 Rear Accent is:

Rear Accent With Standard Finish - $29.00
Optional Finish - $7.50
Shipping and Handling to lower 48 States - $7.00
Shipping and Handling elsewhere - Actual Costs via US Air Mail when possible.

Item 4.

Oil Cooler Grills-

These protect the fragile oil cooler/s that are located on the bottom sides behind the openings in your front bumper cover. What was Mazda thinking when they decided to not protect these easily damaged extremely important radiators? Others have fabricated "home made" screens out of everything from stainless steel mesh, plastic and aluminum gutter guard material to aluminum mesh that you can purchase from some car parts shops and off of the Internet.

Yes, these are functional but, none of them have taken into consideration the asthetics of the front end of our RX-8s. The design of these oil cooler grills took the esthetic approach as well as the funtionality of extreme protection.

The frames are made from polyurethane, the same material as the front bumper cover, and only the area around the fog lights show through the openings. They are semigloss black in color and match the fog light housing very well. They were molded to the shape of the sides of the fog light housings so they fit very snuggly against them. They mount with the existing screw stanchions that are present on the front bumper covers. The hardware for mounting is included and is stainless steel so as not to corrode due to the elements.

The grill material is aluminum mesh with an open weave of 67%. It is a thick material and will hold up against most anything that would be found on the road today. One side is covered in a black synthetic rubber that is sprayed on and coated with 4 coats. The other side is bright aluminum so that you can choose which side to display, black or bright.

Everything that is needed to mount these is included. You do have to take your front end off to put these on. This is not as difficult as you would think. We enclose detailed instructions with full color photos to guide you in the removal of your front end as well as the installation of the Oil Cooler Grills. It takes approximately an hour and half to do this install. These will protect your oil coolers from eventual damage and are well worth the effort and price.

Please state whether you want the Black or Aluminum finish facing forward.

Pricing on your custom built RX-8 Oil Cooler Grills is:

Left and Right Oil Cooler Grills - $60
Left Oil Cooler Grill for Automatic and Euro/Australian RX-8s - $30
Shipping and Handling to lower 48 States - $7.00
Shipping and Handling elsewhere - Actual Costs via US Air Mail when possible.

Item 5.

Fog Light Front Accent Strakes -

For something else that is truly unique and is not available anywhere esle there is the Foglight Accent Strakes. This original design duplicates the silver bars in the headlight housing and similar bars in the tail light.

These bring attention to the front of the RX-8 as an exciting addition in your Oil Cooler opening area. They do not have to be installed with the Oil Cooler Grills, they can be installed independently and do not require the removal of the front end. The only requirement is the drilling of four small holes into each fog light housing and there is a simple yet detailed template included for doing so. The opposite side of the accent strakes attach with 3M VHB mounting adhesive tape and will hold up in any condition.

The standard finish is silver as is in the headlight lenses and OEM wheels. They are clear coated for protection from the elelments. They can be custom finished to any OEM color of the RX-8 and other finishes as requested. If you wish to have the same finish as the aluminum side strakes, front and rear accents, this would also be a custom color.

Pricing on your custom built RX-8 Fog Light Accent Strakes is:

Fog Light Accent Strakes With Standard Finish - $50.00
Optional Finish - $7.50
Shipping and Handling to lower 48 States - $7.00
Shipping and Handling elsewhere - Actual Costs via US Air Mail when possible.

Item 6.

The Original RX-8 Third Brake Light Logo Mask -

This is the traffic stopping Third Brake Light masking mod that hundreds have bought previously. What happens is when you hit your brakes, the third brake light on your trunk lid displays the RX-8 logo. This can be mounted either in front of the red lens or behind the red lens in a stealth mode. In front, the RX-8 logo is black with the unlit red in the center. Behind the lens, it is virtually undetectable...that is until you light the brake lights. This is still the most affordable and attention getting little mod you can install on your RX-8. This is a film, not a sticker so you can remove this at any time as it is an insert into your third brake light assembly. There is no sticker to apply that will eventually fade, crack or peel. It doesn't make the rear of your RX-8 look like it has a black eye as it is not a black vinyl covering. Per requests, we have decided to add custom logos or other work for this third brake light logo mask. Price dependent upon difficulty. Art is more difficult to create if it is something that is not already created. In other words, there is no font that matches the RX-8 Logo so this would be extensive work taking many hours to use the lettering style of the logo. Something that is already available to reproduce will be the least expensive but will still take some work fitting and editing to finish the product. A simple standard reproduced custom mask will be $10 Contact D MENAC 7 so that we can estimate what your custom cost will be for final pricing. You will also receive a proof copy to finalize the design and order.

Pricing on your Original RX-8 Third Brake Light Logo Mask is $8 which includes postage to anywhere in the world. Photo is below.
Custom Logo pricing starts at $10

Item 7.

A/C Condensor - Radiator Opening Grill-

This protects the fragile Air Conditioning Condensors that sit in fron of the radiator that is located on the bottom center behind the opening in your front bumper cover/lip. What was Mazda thinking when they decided to not protect this easily damaged extremely important part? Others have fabricated "home made" screens out of everything from stainless steel mesh, plastic and aluminum gutter guard and aluminum mesh that you can purchase from hardware stores, some car parts shops and off of the Internet.

No after market manufacturer has given thought to making protection for this area of importance look so nice and keep the diamond grille pattern of the OEM. We have because we own RX-8s ourselves. We know the damage that has been reported and what the possible consequences are. They are not covered for damage due to road debris under warranty.

There are two options for size of diamond pattern.

The first option is large pattern which is easiest described as 2 diamonds in height to one inch height measurement. The second option is 3 diamonds in height to one inch height measurement. This second option is what the Oil Cooler Grills use for their material.

These are coated black on one side just as the Oil Cooler Grills above but they can be installed with the bright aluminum finish facing outwards. This is purely your taste in what you want to show.

Pics appear in the next post as we can only have a limited displayed in this post.

Please specify if your front lip is the Appearance Package lip or the Stock front lip as the installation is slightly different for each.

Pricing on your A/C Condensor - Radiator Opening Grille is:

A/C Condensor - Radiator Opening Grill - $49.00
Special If you purchase both the Oil Cooler Grills and the A/C Condensor - Radiator Opening Grill you will receive a $9 discount for the purchase of both.
Shipping and Handling to lower 48 States - $7.00
Shipping and Handling elsewhere - Actual Costs via US Air Mail when possible.

Side "freestyle" doors and hood are aluminum, all the rest is steel.

"have molded 4 nickel plated neodymium magnets (the most powerful permanent magnets in the world) directly into the urethane. This adds additional holding power to the lip spoiler while the acrylic tape cures. This unique design has enabled me to file paperwork seeking patents on this technology and offers you the opportunity to own a very special lip spoiler indeed."

very Smart.. I have the OEM unit on my car.. good price for yours as well . Great Work .
