because It will be one of a kind and there are alot of supra's around. And I am doing this because it will be unique and it is lighter than a supra, so its gonna be faster than a supra

Good luck with it. I hope you are familiar with the shop doing it.

Anyways, I hope you can drive a 1000hp car. You know it will have a lot of turbo lag right? Are you going automatic or manual?

Hmm, I just read a thread on another forum where someone put a Supra motor into a FD. I can't remember how much weight it added, but it was a lot. If you're going to swap in a piston engine, why not get one that's not such a heavy boat anchor--maybe a built-up LS2?

(from another forum)

Q: What's the difference between a 500hp Supra, an 800hp Supra, and a 1200hp Supra?

A1: They all run 12's
A2: The owner of the 500hp Supra actually had his car dyno'd

I'm just curious as to how you plan to actually put 1,000 hp to the ground in this car...

Exactly, with that much power in the 8 i think u should expect traction issues, especially since people are getting issues with 300whp greddy on wider tires than stock.

Somehow the Supra achieved this legendary status, and while it was/is a very nice car and the engine is very stout, I don't think it deserves it. All those dyno queens give people the impression that a 1000hp Supra is something special, when all it turns out to be is either a waste of money, or a show car that never gets driven.

1000hp in the 8? You'll never get it on the ground without severe chassis modification and every ~1000hp 2jz dyno I've ever seen doesn't look remotely streetable.

But if that's what you want, I hope you can stuff that I6 in there.

its will be 6 speed manual, and the transmission will be from a Z06 corvette

ofcourse i will have traction issues thats why i will have the boost control, for normal drive it will be at around 10 psi and 350 whp, and high boost will be clost to 33 psi and will run close to 1000 whp, the engine is completely rebuilt and had only 2000 kilometers.

i will not be driving the car alot because of smog issues in california and cops will pull me over, but if i drive it will be at 350 whp at 10 psi. I mainly did this project to make it a complete car show
